I hope you have all seen this:
Premium Vehicle Improvements | General News | World of Tanks
Premium tanks will now bring you the following additional extra advantages:
50% bonus to crew experience. If the possibility of training your whole regiment of crewmen on one tank was not enough for you, you can now progress much faster.
Increased coefficient of battle experience depending on tier. In short – the lower the tier of the vehicle, the higher battle experience you get!

This makes the Premium Tier III Light tanks a real Goldmine! And they are very cheap to buy :-)

Best premium Light tanks: T-127, T-15, LTP, M22 Locust, T2 Light Tank

Remember, the most important things to have on a Light Tier 3 tank:
Optics: see them before they do
EGL: faster aim
Vents: increase overall performance
Crew skills camo: do not be seen (even the commander start as camo before resetting to 6th sense)

PS. Thanks to Pecomaus for bringing my attention to this :-)

I am thinking of getting FCM36PaK40 for botting. Is its slowness going to be a problem?

Cheers,
Misa

Is there any particular reason why you would want to buy FCM36PaK40 ??? (e.g. you want to train French crews)

Otherwise I would recommend you to stick to T127 (and T15). They are scouts, they go in front of all other tanks, they die quickly. Nobody asks questions.

FCM36PaK40 on the other side, when was the last time you saw an FCM36PaK40 going front to face the enemy in the front line? I never saw that. This is a tank that stays far behind, has excellent view range and shoots from the second line (like the Rhm.WTs).

My 2cents...

Anyway, I have played over 300games bot and no problems (yet)

The reasons are that 1) the gun is very good, which means more credits, and 2) it's a TD so nobody asks questions if they camp. On the other hand it sees tier 5 tanks...

Cheers,
Misa

Ah OK.

Then I would say: Do NOT use it ;-)

1. gun without turret = bad news
2. how do you want to make a TL controlled tank camp? You can not!

RGDS

Do you mean that TDs are controlled the same way as tanks?

Cheers,
Misa

Pak40 have higher chance to be top tier or near top tier in random battles.. when you play a Pak40 in random battle; you are expected to deal damage to enemy team and perform as TD the have good gun should.. using Pak40 with TL is just asking to be reported as BOT... especially when you do not do the damage as you should.

Low tier light tanks are not expected to be damage dealers in random battles, majority of the random battle players do not pay much attention to the battle performance of low tier light tanks, therefore less likely to get reported as BOT when you die early in random battles or just sit idle at certain place after you've spotted a few enemies.

If your low tier light tank survive long enough in a random battle to be the last one standing.. likelyhood of others leaving the battle after getting killed and not paying attention to what your low tier light tank is doing is higher.. less chance to get reported as BOT.

I have permanent camo on all Premium light tanks, reduce the visibility.
Commander & Radioman will have Recon & Situation Awareness to extend the spotting range to MAX to spot enemy as early as possible.
Driver have Clutch Braking or Off-road Driving for better maneuverability for longer survival.
Rest of crew would have camo to reduce visibility.
