Best Routine To Use right now

One of the main reasons Kupper is better for bard is being able to choose the DoT clip timings. To my knowledge (have only really tried Magitek, so my comment was a tad unfair if MoreDots or another CR does this too and I'm simply ignorant to it) Kupper is the only CR to have a feature that let's you choose the timings. Letting DoT's fall, then replace them, even if it's almost directly after is almost always a loss in DPS.

I'm not sure the conditions (gear/stats/etc) exaccuss parsed or what his settings in Kupper were, but proper clipping alone should be enough to pull it ahead if one takes into account lucky crits. I personally don't use the AoE feature in any of the CR's.

If any of the CR's could work out buff alignments (as opposed to popping buffs as soon as they're available), and maybe a customizable opening rotation of buffs and AC's that would be hands down the best CR for Bard at least. Hell I'd be comfortable using it in progression raids if that were the case.

I was parsing at i110 with tidal wave bow. And according to ffxiv sim, it's above the expected dps for my stats/gear, so i can't complain. Technically you can get magitek to choose the dot timings, you just have to edit the actual .cs file yourself which takes less than 5 minutes to do. My settings are:

Well to be fair if feel like if you have to scour and edit the .cs files it doesn't really count as a feature (for those of us not technically inclined have no access to doing so). Good to know you can actually do it there though.

Using base Magitek w/Kupper clipped DoT's, no buffs, all I think we'd have to look at is critical hit% due to it being the only skewing factor that has nothing to do w/CR rotation. I feel like it should be further than the 4-5 DPS in your original post with that taken into account. Although I could be wrong, Magitek was certainly solid standalone for Bard.

No i haven't yet, mainly because it didn't have any options in combat settings as compared to stuff like magitek/kupper etc
EDIT: tested all three profiles on striking dummy (5 mins each) changing a few settings in the combat routine section (not editing the actual .cs file itself) and ended up with:

more dots - 331 dps
magitek - 361 dps
kupper - 365 dps

So as you can see, there isn't a huge difference between magitek and kupper in terms of dps. They both work great, but that aoe fix with kupper pretty much seals the deal for me so far.

Thanks for the Parse comparison!

On a side note, do you happen to have a Summoner that is geared? I'd be curious to see what kind of numbers you can get on SMN. MoreDots doesn't auto summon your pet or use the pet abilities, but if you do that manually I'm curious to see how it would compare with any other routines.

I only have mine at ilv 84, so not sure if that's what you want or not.

It was just out of curiosity. I was raiding with it and pulling 370-400 depending on the fight in ilvl 107ish gear. I'm not really actively working on it anymore and I don't have a FF14 sub anymore, so it was really just for shits and giggles that I was curious about.

WoW is more popular and its new expansion just came out today. Wheredidigo might pick development back up next year once things slow down for WoW and things start ramping up for the FFXIV expansion (of course that's just a guess, I don't know his plans).

Indeed, I came back recently due to the patch and about to leave again to play Warlords. I'm pretty sure others are out there doing the same thing.

Screw Wow and the horse is came in on.. Wow lost the plot after LK- then went outright retarded after Cata.. Firelands was the last raid i felt they put any effort into..

Panda land was just slap in the face for wow fans- Worst expansion ever to be release in all gaming history.

Give it a few weeks at the most and you will be right back to ffxiv ;D
