Best Routine To Use right now

So I've leveled quite a few classes to 50 using Magitek and had no problems but i'm currently trying to level my dragoon and having nothing but issues. Running to fates and just standing there, not returning to atheryte but just standing in place waiting for the next fate, just following the fate boss and doing nothing. seems to just be a lot of dying going on. I leveled my ninja faster then this lol.
So i'm just curious what is the best routine right now to use to level my Dragoon. Does anyone have any opinions.

I'd like to say mine but I haven't released it yet lol. Hopefully soon...
 
By default Magitek has pull distance for everyone set to like 20. This is way too big for DRG and other melee. Make sure to set it to like 2 or 3 and it won't just stand there anymore.

I did make the change last night to 2 but still does it on and off.

Except that Singular is a CR for WoW and this is in the FF14 forums.....
 
It's a close call between moredots and magitek. I personally like moredots the best because it's the only RB drg routine that i can get decent dps with lol

Endus has been plugging away at a V2 of MoreDots. I've been helping him getting everything working and I'm pretty sure he's really close to having all of the DPS classes figured out. Once I figure out the Settings Form and he finishes the DPS Rotations, I think we/he will be ready to release it.

Just keep an eye out for it in the next week or so. I do believe the aim is to have all of the DPS classes being able to use FateBot on release (Rogue/Ninja, Pugilist/Monk, Lancer/Dragoon, and Archer/Bard are done already)
 
Have you tried just using the built in kupo?

I had the same issues with dragoon (magitek didn't have it's rebirth yet when I leveld dragoon). I ended up using kupo. It's less efficient than magitek for sure, though I guess the fact that it actually kills stuff makes it more efficient lol. If you are using it with fatebot there are plenty of folks running fates right now so you shouldn't have trouble stabbing things. I was always getting gold despite kupo's horribly lacking rotation.
 
For melee and just mob/fate grinding I have found the best using the default CR..

All my casters I have used magitek ( I also raid with magitek)
 
Really? How is it different from Magitek bard? The job is pretty hard to screw up.
 
I haven't tested magitek bard dps for a while, but currently i'm going to say kupper because i feel i get pretty good dps with it and with the auto aoe, it doesn't have the invisible target bug so far.

Have you tried MoreDots Bard profile?
 
I know it's a tangent but speaking of auto aoe, I'm thinking of setting my aoe/object scanner to my gcd so it just sticks to cache while I'm in my spell queue window.

Do you guys think that would be fine? I figure I shouldn't bother scanning until I'm casting...

No i haven't yet, mainly because it didn't have any options in combat settings as compared to stuff like magitek/kupper etc
EDIT: tested all three profiles on striking dummy (5 mins each) changing a few settings in the combat routine section (not editing the actual .cs file itself) and ended up with:

more dots - 331 dps
magitek - 361 dps
kupper - 365 dps

So as you can see, there isn't a huge difference between magitek and kupper in terms of dps. They both work great, but that aoe fix with kupper pretty much seals the deal for me so far.

One of the main reasons Kupper is better for bard is being able to choose the DoT clip timings. To my knowledge (have only really tried Magitek, so my comment was a tad unfair if MoreDots or another CR does this too and I'm simply ignorant to it) Kupper is the only CR to have a feature that let's you choose the timings. Letting DoT's fall, then replace them, even if it's almost directly after is almost always a loss in DPS.

I'm not sure the conditions (gear/stats/etc) exaccuss parsed or what his settings in Kupper were, but proper clipping alone should be enough to pull it ahead if one takes into account lucky crits. I personally don't use the AoE feature in any of the CR's.

If any of the CR's could work out buff alignments (as opposed to popping buffs as soon as they're available), and maybe a customizable opening rotation of buffs and AC's that would be hands down the best CR for Bard at least. Hell I'd be comfortable using it in progression raids if that were the case.
