Before I spend $120 to get back in .. need some help

Its been awhile since I played and If someone could answer a few questions for me I would appreciate it.

1. There seem to be reports of GB2 bans (on this forum and others) of people getting banned after gathering for a few hours. Is it *safe* to use?
2. Anyone still making money without suffering major losses ?
3. I am assuming most *** are blacklisted by WOW now ? (HMA etc.)

running GB2 with a custom profile for 2-4 hours a day, 4 days a week, per toon--still a good chance of being banned.

safest way to level now is to level new characters over and over.

I do 10-12 hours a day. On each toon with 2 farmers per acc. With breaks.
