Check this out. Someone on the HB forums posted a link to check the account status of a WOW account..

being the mild genius I am .. I changed wow to d3 and hit enter.

Diablo III for non link its us.battle.net/d3/en/account-status

this is what mine says, mind you the email I recieved says permanent ban in my email .. but according to this.. its a 72 hour

Might be worth taking a look at before we start dumping cash into more keys. These might not be perma bans...

sorry brah its perm... they just ban you from forums for a couple days, but it keeps resetting so u can post on forums either (or atleast I can't). No mild genius today :(
 
Well... we'll give it 2 days and 6 hours and check back then :)
 
its just your forum account which is banned for 3 days, so u cant cry in their forums about ur permanent d3 bann

Weird, it says my main acc is perma banned but I can still log in the game. :)

It will just reset in Friday, December 21, 2012 6:53:04 PM PST adding another 3 days, making the expiration date 24 December and so on.
At least it happened with me, mine was also about to expire today, but i logged and now i have 2 days and 23 hours again.

anyone know why they extended it 3 days to end on christmas eve and christmas day? kinda odd that they extended it to those 2 days. give us a Christmas gift and give us our accounts back!

Nope, but I am following up on some leads, one of my old high school buddies that now works at Blizzard hit me up on facebook about a week after the incident, so I am doing what I can to find out how they are detecting amongst other things.

For now my account is closed and I am opening tickets every day and filling out superb rep surveys!
 
For everybody thinking this stuff is going to get your Diablo 3 account back.. it WONT. This is just the normal forum ban which expires in a few days. (you get banned on the forums as well as in the game, probably to stop banned people from flooding the forums)

This was my first account banned and when I came across the info posted in my first thread I was hopeful that it was just a mass message broadcast to everyone, but it was just my thoughts and figured I would post it.

No one is expecting this info to get their account back, but if it was 72 hour bans, this would have been helpful info before people bought new keys.
