Hey guys, I have been on these forums and have been botting for a while now, well over 6 months. I just wanted to give you my story and hope it will help you guys out in some way. When I first started to bot D3 I went ban free a long time, got banned once (5 of 12) but I started back up. I went strong until 12/18 when I got hit for all my accounts which was about 20 at the time. At that time I switched my ISP (not because of bans but for personal reasons), ever since I switched ISP I have been banned 6 times, 5 of the 6 times I lost about 80% of the accounts but the 6th time I lost all of them. Also I decided to try my luck in WOW, I started WOW bots not too long ago and all of those got hit today as well (6 of 6) I dont know if the ISP has anything to do with the bans, or its just pure bad luck. I have lost MANY accounts. I am not writing this to complain, I just hope this information can be used in a positive way for the community and the Devs. If Devs need any details from me please feel free to send me a message, I will provide you with any information you need. I am going to switch my ISP once again and start up once more. I will let you know how it goes.

Up until the last time I got banned I ran all my bots 27/7 running act 3 big red. Only plugins I used were Giles and Atom.
On my last set of accounts I tried going for 12 hours a day, didn't change much. But at this point I am sure I was on their radar.

1) Were you using DemonBuddy on the account at the same time the ban/suspension occurred? (Kicked offline due to being Banned)

Some of the bans were while the bot was running, some were offline during maintenance.

2) If not, when was the last time?:

3) If using a public profile please name it here:

Big Red
4) How did you level your characters? Please give some details
At first I ran queen for level 2-10 then modified act 1 and act 3 champion run profiles for Norm, NM and Hell to level. Recently I used full act profile (a few bots got hit leveling on this profile)

5) What combat class were you using? if None Just put Default then the Classname:
giles

6) What plugins are you using?:
giles and atom

7) How many hours per day did you bot for?:
mostly 24, but my last set of accounts ran for 12 hours a day

7.5) What honest percentage of time did you supervise your bot?
50-60%

8) How many auctions per day did you have?:
10

8.5) Did you use the Real Money Auction House (RMAH)?

yes
9) Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, Mods, or Exploits?
No

10) Was your account involved in gold selling?
No

11) What server region where you connected to (The Americas, Europe or Asia)?
US

Hope this helps, just wondering if my ISP has anything to do with it. Also I don't know if I can tell you which ISP I used before and what I use now, but I had Cable and switched to DSL.

hm... i started 1st week of december and got banned twice (dec 12 and dec 18) with Time warner basic dsl. Since then, I got a free upgrade to Roadrunner DSL (I'm assuming that changed my IP?) and have been ban free, so far.

Give it a check if your previous provider had a dynamic IP for you, or it had ***** / static?
I'd put my bet on that your new ISP has a static/***** for you and blizzard tracks you down. Otherwise - having dynamic IP - you'd just appeal that u got haxxored - so they wouldn't bother

Running Big Red profile = ban. I dare anyone to 24/7 Big Red. Double dare. Almost certain they look for this pattern recognition.

ive been running ciggarcs a3 since like august, lost 8 (alternating bots, never more than 12hrs on one) on dec 18th.... been running same exact profile 24/7 since.... no bans since
([A3 - Inferno]Champion-Hunting 1.3.6.3 BigRed_AB_modified_for_new_atom)

and only time ive lost a wow bot is from farming like 8 full sets of bags gathering in a day lol, ive had my dk botting since wrath, few mil in just raw mat sales

so from my point of view, i limit wow - ive been safe for years honestly, limited d3 got caught so now i just do 24/7 and its been working for me

I've been running Bigred for 3 weeks 24/7 ... three accounts, same computer, no special unique ID shit and no VMs... no bans (yet)

Leveling by Queen has always been a giant red flag for botting, countless people have leveled that way and then got banned for it.
Is that way you got banned? Can't say.
But I'd avoid leveling with Queen profiles in the future.

i been using big red since 18th ban wave 24/7, no bans, i agree prob queen lvling

static ip, leveled about 15 accounts with 1000's of wretched queen runs (norm/nm/hell) - only 1 ban of my acc's (big ban wave at 18th december) from June 2012 until Feb 2013.

therefore i don't think IP or level-script matters. Maybe i was just lucky, dunno...
