Hey guys,

as I got screwed over bigtime by a fellow member of this community.
I figured I should let all of you know that you should be extra cautious when doing business with shane86 or don't do business at all with him.
1-2 weeks ago, shane86 had a thread open titled somewhere along the lines of 'buying gold on all servers'.
I saw Tony replied in that very topic and didn't close it then so I figured it was legit.
If I was going to sell my gold, what better place then a fellow member of the HB/GB community.

So I trusted him, traded him the gold upfront. He then asked for my paypal address to transfer money to.
He sent me money, however it was not instant, he said this wasn't available, so instead it would be an eCheck for the amount of $84,-.
He said, oh that's weird, how about you cancel that payment and send me a bill instead, perhaps that will be instant.
So I followed his instructions and then he said that wasn't available either. He cancelled the bill and sent me the money again.
I just had to wait 5 days for the eCheck to clear.

So far so good. 2 days later I get 2 emails from paypal with the subject You've got money.
1x $25,- and 1x $5,- which adds up to $30,- still $54,- short.
Shortly after that I get another 2 mails saying those payments were unauthorised or at least that's what the buyer claimed it to be.
It turned into a paypal dispute, paypal said there was no sign of any unauthorised access I now have $30,- instead of the $84 I should have gotten in the first place.
The original $84,-? it got lost in translation I never received it.

People shane86 is a lying little scumbag, please be very cautious when dealing with this prick.
I hope my story prevents future scams of hardbotting GB members :), at least from shane86 and partner.

Sorry for your loss but it is not really a surprise with the amount of BS he has posted on the forums.
 
well I was a bit shocked that some topics with selling something are not legit and that one got trough and didn't get closed.
anyhow sorry for the loss, hope you have learned from it tough.

Still can't understand I get banned for doing topics like that and others don't.

Shame you got scammed. I am pretty sure the majority of the community knows he is full of shit. I mean just look at any thead he has started. lol
 
Stupid me that didn't poke through the shitcurtain then. Others like me should consider this a heads up then.
 
he has a partner called KJ598 who PMD me telling me to add him on msn so I did he then told me that he is looking to buy gold etc and do i have any he said he is wanting to buy some from the community but doesnt know how etc. I didnt do business with this guy as i was cautious and for the extra 20c a k id rather sell to somewhere else so also be cautious of that guy.

*EDIT* He actually specifically said "my partner shane86" maybe a mod should check the IPs of these 2x accs to see if they are the same or look in admin cp to see other accs registered to shanes ip

tony, i'm over it but you can see its shit when someone else can make topics like that where I couldn't and just got banned straight away.

If anyone wants to do some digging just google his name maybe theres more threads on other sites about him.

psyrex next time sell gold somewhere else;) clearly the forums are full with some scammers here and there too;)....

The threads started by him were good at killing time to be honest.
It's important to share these kinds of curious actions for better deliberation and discussion, I thank you for the heads up for the rest of this community who were considering or already doing business like yourself.
I hope that you get what you deserve and perhaps after he reads this thread that you will.

psyrex i am happy we have one more person who hopefully learned that greed alone is not enough to be successful.

I hope once forever ppl would use their brains.

IF you see any gold buy thread which is not created by me, contact Tony or Ski or me.

Also Toni asked me what to do with the thread and i told him to remove the "gold buy" stuff, but as i am a bit of busy it lasted longer then it should be.

You on the other side mr. panyama had 2000 external marketing links in your profile and still wondering why you got an harmless temporary suspension ? A good manner is to ask before post.
 
I linked psyrex to some stuff i found in google hopefully he manages to get something out of it :D (myspace etc)

Id rofl so hard if he called him and he answers the phone and hes like 'yeah hi is this shane86'
