BattleGround Botting --- How Safe Is It Really? ---

No one cares about bots in BGs nowadays i think - yesterday we had 6 bots in wsg (all honorbuddies) and no one said anything.

If you bot you know the risk of getting banned. Don't want to get ban and say bye bye to your account. Don't bot. Now that been said. Mix everything, some BG's, some questing, some dungeons, some more BG's. Get the relogger, schedule it. Make it look human. Don't bot the same over and over, spend the points, let your bot take a break. To me the safest form is questing. It doesn't get more human than that. Mimic doesnt't have the quest behavior HB has, as far I can tell Pirox neither. Also HB doesn't use the bar set up like pirox did or mimic. Yes thousands of bots with same action bar set up LOL. Enough said.

Since this post, I've used bg bot so many times, not once have I been suspended or banned, doesn't always work the best, but all good

It also depends on the country you play in. If you bot in a US or EU server, you will be in risk. But you bot in a taiwan or china server, the chances of you getting caught is little as taiwan and china server itself there is many botters. Every bg i run in taiwan there is always 2-3 botter in the horde and alliance side. You can really tell as they are walking really funny. Honorbuddy bot also walks funny lol.

Its the same on Eu and i bet on US aswell in my bg (EU) i see like 10 bots in AV all the time.. like 20 on AV weekends

As has been said many times before, BG Bot and PvP Bot (in their present form) are very easy to tell by other players that they are bots - no ifs, ands or butts... err... buts. If anyone says otherwise, they are sticking their head in the sand and simply not actually looking at their toon as it fights the battles.

It simply does not matter how many times someone has levelled their toon from 15 to 85 or received pure Season XX gear on every single toon they own. If they did it botting, they got it simply because the people inside the battlegrounds didn't report them - or at least not enough ppl did. It wasn't because they didn't realize they were a bot - because I can guarantee that the majority of the time, they did. I see it in /bg time after time... 'check out that bot... lmao', 'did you notice that half of the ally team are bots?' and 'check out XXX and XXX2 - running everywhere together! lmao'

People do notice and it's just lucky that your toons were never reported... but it's better to improve the product and not rely on that luck. Thankfully Apoc has taken that on and we should see BgBot2 soon.

From my experience, botting in bg's as a healer is much safer then as a dd. ShamWoW runs far the best and instead of getting flames i get whispers like "great heal" "awesome heal dude" lawl + i'm always #1 in heal.

But yeah i'm pretty interested how the new bg bot will perform. I hope we see a huge improvement.

Yeah I run my toons as Healers in BG as its less obvious and you get a good response from other players for healing, there is never enough healers in BG...
While Altoids is right and both BGBot and PvP bot both look "bottish" running around with a decent CC and a few plugins as Healer seems to make it look more human like.
Well up until they start running repeatedly into enemy players solo... I honestly can't wait for Apoc's new BGBot though it sounds amazing.

Botted twice with BGBot on an EU server (fr) without problem (only one /w from a guy that told me how much i suck at playing).
But I try to bot only by night when most of the people are botting too...
And in two days i fully geared my hpal and rsham. And now I'm farming ruthless again...but for my ret spec...

I have leveled 4 Toons to 85 on pure BG Botting, 3 Toons where on Pirox's pvptool, 1 on Honorbuddy, And I think Honorbuddy looks safer than that pirox piece of crap.
Though I think its nice to mix it up a little. Say for example 1-50 you use Questing, 50-70 BGs, 70-80 Questing, 80-85 Archaeology or Questing

Shamwow + Resto spec = awesome for BG.
I can honestly say that its one of the few CC that make a bot look so good that I usually get whispers of "awesome heals" "how the hell do you heal so good?" and so on.

im using bgbot + squire follow plugin, made a few tweaks here and there and id say im much less obvious than most of the other botters following set paths etc.

There is other bots, other than honorbuddy. The best was yesterday, 5 people other than me are botting mining in the same location. The race was who got the fastest mount get the resource first lol.

every time I run av there is at least 4-5 other people running the exact same path as me and another few clearly running Bgbot. seems like that is asking for a ban.
