Battleground bots out of control, should something be done?

naw leave the BG buddy there the bots are easy to kill i solo 3-5 of them at a time with my Monk
 
You know if they ban all the bots from the BG it might be just be 5 on 5 in AV LOL
 
I agree with AndrewSee, else I can't chain sap people in IoC while a bot train is coming their way, is funny as hell to watch 10 bots jumping on the poor guys.

I am NOT against getting rid of bgbuddy.. we should move towards manual controlling with crs, and still supporting things like kicks.

First tripwire ment 30 days before something was "clear"

every new tripwire means again 30 days from that point or that first announcement made no sense.

If that dev keeps tinkering with warden, once every 3 days, we are shit out of luck, untill they are done talking and start acting.

Are you mad?

I remember discussing "out of control" bots in battlegrounds on these forums in the past. If you are playing BG's by hand and would rather not suffer playing with bots, I suggest getting a group together to help with that. There are addons out there if you can't get a group together. I do it all the time. . . use HB just for the combat routine, hop on with a group of 5 and we destroy every group we're up against with no worries about bots (even if there were bots on our team, we still dominate).

Its not about me, its about those that dont know about Oqueue ( for example ) and join to have fun. They are mad. And the above tweets shows its been taken serious allr.
 
Hello, everyone <3 Can I just say, I've not used HB for very long, and I've only used combat routines, I did get into healing some BG's with a combat routine, but never been 'controlled' by a 'bot' tbh I don't like it, and it took me a good 3 months to understand that there are some who are totally AFK during a BG, naïve? maybe.. I can't understand why people would pay for a game but not actually play it? I love playing WoW, but the combat routines really help me be a better player, I'm severely disabled, but I like to do as much as I can, myself.. I haven't played for a while, but went on my little rogue earlier, just in a dungeon, with my husband, when we got the trip wire warning, I won't play my main(s) until WoD I guess, but I will never understand why people fully AFK for a BG/raid/dungeon/quest? I also wondered how people would join a BG, and 2 people would say (before it's started) "Oh great, look at all the bots" How do they know? Or are they just saying that about the people who don't say hello, when asked ect ect..?

Finally someone with some sense....he has an excuse and an argument for everything...might as well just let him voice his factless opinions.

I can spot them by the way they behave ..the gates open and the bot trains will all follow the same paths etc. ..I've even seen bots use the portal instead of using the open gate after the BG starts ..if you allow BG Buddy to run your toon and watch its movements you will soon see what I'm saying
 
If you have used the bot for an amount of time it is sooooo easy to spot one out. Questing, pvp, even in main cities doing AH or crafting I can spot them. For these reasons I use tyrael because I know there are people out there who will report you just to be a douche.

It's obvious as hell if you aren't doing it AFK. I tend to only do it while i'm watching TV with my laptop right in front of me so I can manually start it after the battle starts and try and keep eyes out for bot trains. As soon as you port in seeing 5 people move to the same exact spot off from the gate makes it obvious. Not to mention when a bot train happens of the same people hitting the same exact spots moving to the biggest battle...

The mesh navigation is irrelevant to the bot train issues. The navigator is given point A to go to, and it will usually pick the same route to go there as it's considered more efficient that way. BGBuddy is giving it the places to move to and multiple bots are told to go to the same place, so yes there will be bot trains. It's very possible, and already done in many behaviors, to code fanning out and randomization, but obviously the entire botbase is going to need an overhaul. BGbuddy relies partly on profiles to begin with, which is where it's likely not helping the bot train issue.
 
I mean dont get me wrong i would never use BG buddy thats the stupidest thing anyone would ever do i think the Devs should put more effect into it or just discontinue it all together pretty easy to see 15 people all running the same path
