[Batch File] DB_Run: Command-line based Anti-Crash and Relogger

I don't seem to have that file inside my pc bro.. :(

Well, then it would be pretty impossible to run Diablo 3 :)
Could you take a look in C:\Users\<your username>\My Documents\Diablo III\
You don't have to be scared if i'm trying to rip off any account information of you. The D3Prefs.txt only keeps D3 audio/video settings etc.

If you can't find it on that way, could you open your Windows Explorer (Windows button + E) and start a search to D3Prefs.txt?

LOL~! No worries... I was actually busy helping out DTrick with his ISBoxer issues. :)

Thanks mate! I just turned off 1 screen and it seems to be running fine now. Still can't get BuddyStatus to work in combination with this batch file, but i guess that's something for the BuddyStats developer right?

Right~! BuddyStats... that was something I was supposed to try today... real busy today bro... sorry about that... I'm not sure how it works at the moment though... let me take a look and I'll let you know soon? Let's see if its a problem with the batch file...

Cheers~! :)

im still encountering max sessions auth failed even with the task and batch file set up as recommended, 4 min min and 7min max, any ideas on how to get to get it work flawlessly other than to setup another scheduler to restart my pc which will 100% close all my current sessions and to set it up as to run on startup/idle? my guess would be its up to the devs to improve upon this?

Great to see a update, especially for german os.. I really like this script... You say that it cant handle Application Errors but they are many other plugins for that.. Can someone give me a hint on that?

Would be great if you could take a look at it. I think it's something with the BuddyStats plugin itself. I think i found the problem. The batch script does the following:

1. Start D3
2. Start DB + Login
3. Login D3

Because DB opens, and logs in before D3 logged in any character, the plugin seems to go wrong. When i login D3, and then start DB, then the plugin seems to work.

Thanks for your support and the great batch file mate!

Did you update Demonbuddy to .169? I experienced some problems with logging in Demonbuddy using .160 because of the "Do you want to update" dialog.

Hi there,

You could try a min_minutes of 5 minutes and above. Buddy Auth should only lock the session for 2 minutes max... but being technology, it does screw up sometimes. Unfortunately I do not have any means to kill sessions on Buddy Auth... So what I usually do is as described in the first post: I set up my Task Scheduler for repetitive restarts every hour. It's kinda like a fail safe method.. beats having to restart the whole pc :)

The devs are definitely hands full at the moment... I don't blame them... with all the injunction hearing and stuff coming... so our best bet is to find work around solutions like this one :)

Cheers mate~!

Hi there,

In application, I use NotificationOKClick and ProfileRestarter. These guys are great at what they do... :) It still works for me ^_^

Oh, and the German release? Nah, no worries about that... someone prompted me about the problem they faced on their OS and I wanted this to be for everyone... So... tadah.. German release with help from neuerkunde :)

Hmm... ic.. that could be the problem... coz right now, I need DB to fire up in order for it to log on to D3... If the plugin requires D3 to login first before DB starts up, then I'm afraid that I might not be able to do anything about that... BUT... lemme check first... we may be wrong lol~! :D

@Teivovo

Do you have any idea why the batch file gets restarted sometimes, even tho DB and D3 are still running, and it hasn't been past 2 hours (i've set the task on repeat every 2 hours indefinately)?

Looks nice but with this my diablo is very slow and often he runs the wrong turn or stands still..

Ok I've had this problem previously and I realized its due to the method of initial execution of the batch file.

So let's say: you run the batch file directly and everything loads up fine and you leave it as it is correct? Yup that's what I used to do. Then out of the blue before it is even one hour (I set mine to 1hr) the batch file restarts. I'm guessing you have the same experience?

It's due to the task scheduler being active and remembering the start time that it has started running the batch file and not from the time you manually executed it. So after you manually run the batch file, at some time within the 2 hours, task scheduler will say: hey! My 2hrs is up, time to run the next cycle.

So this usually happens only on the first cycle (if you did a manual start run). 2nd run onwards will be fine coz task scheduler will keep the 2hr consistent.

If you want a constant 2hrs, you should run the task inside the task scheduler based on the "triggers". Usually I set it to run upon task modification. So if I want it to run, I'll just modify the task a little bit by typing some crap into the comments. After clicking OK, the task will run normally.

If its too troublesome for you, just run the manual way. Just take note that the first run will be a little off.

Hope this answers your questions :)

Ah yeah i guess that's the problem. When i was at work today, i was playing around a bit from teamviewer, and i had to restart it a couple of times. Thanks mate!

Hi Tymme,

Sorry to ask... But does your D3 run at good frame rates with you current pc configurations without the batch file?

For your second part of the question, I'm also sorry that I may not be of help as your character control is dictated by DB and the profile itself... DB_run only controls the application executional sequence and does not interfere with how D3 or DB runs... Was it running properly prior to using DB run?

Cheers!

No problem man! I too, had the same itch to fiddle with it through teamviewer and was equally puzzled when the very same thing happened...

I think I should find time to compile all these support posts into an FAQ section in the first post yah? I think it'll be really useful for you guys as a quick reference.

Cheers!

Would it be possible to also detect disconnects? Like when 5 pings in a row fails, shut down D3+DB and wait until 5 pings in a row succeed, and fire up D3+DB again (and also wait for session timeout since first 5 pings failed)?
