Barb Dying Way Too Much, Anyone Help Me?

Hi guys, not sure if it's my build, my gear, or a combo of both that's getting me rocked when I try to use the Ciggarc A3 profile, but it's not going so well.

If anyone can chime in and tell me what I need to improve, I'd appreciate it greatly.

Resists: 920-990 range for all
Crit Chance: 48.5%
Crit Damage: 277%
Block Chance: 27%
Life per Hit: 1057


Damage Reduction: 75.55%

Mine are ~1.1k resist all and 1.3 LOH and 2.2k str. Hardly ever die.

Also, Rend - Blood Lust and you're missing Revenge - Provocation, which is your main heal ability and why you are dying.

change leap to revenge - provocation
change rend rune to bloodlust

I guess it will solve your problem, but man, u need more dps... work on it (maybe change nerves to weapons mastery if u have a mace/axe).

I have pure dps barb (128k unbuffed, almost 180k buffed with 600allres, 3ls, 450 loh and 58k hp) and this build work very well.

Thanks you guys! Now running Rend (Bloodlust) and Revenge (Provocation)... working out quite a bit better.

I will try to improve my DPS. Currently using a 840.0 DPS Mace w/ 57 Crit, 707 LoH, and a socket (Emerald).

Should I sacrifice more LoH for base dps/crit/str?

How faster you kill, u will get more items/hour.. so u will make more money

run timing is more complex than just how many minutes do you spend do do your run.. I guess u stormwarr know this, but I am telling it for buian understand.

Though as everyone should be using Trinity - I will assume you are too (and if you aren't, jesus QUICK QUICK get into the "Giles Plugins" sub-forums within the plugin forums and get reading & installing!).

With those stats, I would say run full Tornado Whirlwind build. There is an example build on the Barbarian sticky thread in the Trinity sub-forums

i run 2 barbs, 1 30kbuffed dps 1 22k buffed dps both die 4-6 time per hour, both 1.1kAR 10kArmor and 1500-1800 LoH

I have just loh from my pants (blackthorn) and to be honest if I had zero loh and zero ls it doens't matter (of course help but is not essencial).
My regen is basic from rend+revenge.. but the important thing is, u need a high dmg weapon (minimum 1k dps or a good skorn) cuz rend and revenge have dmg based on weapon dmg.

Set your build to the recommended whirlwind build on the Barbarian sticky thread (1st post, the build-screenshots I posted up).

Do that while in town/with DemonBuddy stopped (I always recommend stopping and restarting Db after a total build change, just to minimize any random problems, though it should be fine to do while running).

And yes default Trinity will handle whirlwind builds just fine and dandy! Though you may want to reduce some of the avoidance-health limits in the combat settings for barbs - try reducing them to about 75 each at the most for any avoidance, and you can go way lower for some, depending how you find it runs (really really well geared barbs can disable avoidance altogether and get better results!).

Here are my current stats on my barb (with WC and Battle Rage up):



Are my resists simply too low? I watched the bot for a bit and it seemed to stand in Arcane beams while not doing anything quite often. Should I stack arcane/fire? Dps too low?

Are you capping your fps? Does your character die during lag spikes?

I would use:

Ignore Pain - Ignorance is bliss
Rend - Bloodlust
Frenzy - Sidearm
Revenge - Provocation

And then I would drop revenge as long as you dont die more then x2 an hr.

Your stats look great - although my whirlwind barbs do all use a one-hander and a stormshield with very high block etc. - so 30-35% block-chance each. I'm not actually very good at Diablo 3, whatever people may think. I just make the plugins and rely on players for good builds, play tips, how skills should be used, and then do the coding.

So I'm not actually the best source for general play/build advice

Your armor is too low. You need to increase it to around 7k armor with WC up. Your resists are fine and I think your HP is good too. Push for more DPS and armor.
