Barb Act 1 champ farming Gear/Build

Still dying too much, I'll bust out the profile switcher and see if I can make more headway like that. Also I'm using DRelogger, doesn't work very well with Giles Stash/Loot Replacer >_< I know he has some outdated inferno rules...

Ugh. I'll try ARelog maybe.
 
Keep at that RA up. I'm avging about 850 w/Warcry and still get some deaths since I turned off avoidance and some times Baba takes a swim in molten and poison.

You can try replacing earthquake with overpower - crushing advance
it's slower for killing those stationary elite packs, but it's essentially another "dont kill me" button. Additionally, damage you reflect seems to work with your life on hit for even more win :)

I may replace leap with that.

Earthquake works well... there are situations where it doesn't work as well... Using overpower like that makes me want more crit hit chance. Hmmmm...

That could work if you have sufficient gear.
Two of my bots are new and have relatively shit gear, so having both leap/overpower means they are very rarely taking damage. Even though theyre only at 18k and 16k dps respectively they still manage to get the job done with maybe a max of 1 death per hour. Only lame part is slower elite kills.
 
Yeah for sure. My DPS is like... 10k - 15k, most are around 10k, recovering from 8 banned bots so yeah.
 
ya my barbs are 15k-18k. my monk is at 20k with breath of heaven. I use rads profile with his profile switcher. so if i do die he tries again normaly kills the elite off the 2nd time. If you are having troubles you may want to go to a shield or even a 2 hander. a 2 hander will make EQ hit so hard but you may have harder time on running mobs.
 
Thanks for this. My monk dies a bit more then I would like so I will compare your stats to mine later today.

Also, for those dieing, make sure you're percentages for using health potions, picking up health globes and serenity are correctly set. I noticed DB not using a potion fast enough, although health is way below the 50% threshold, same for serenity. And with Health Globes, I've seen my monk boxed in by bad guys, trying to pick up a health globe, but not being able to, and then he dies...
 
Mmmmm... still at like... ~10 deaths/hour... Nightmare~ish are annoying...

Have like 1200 LoH on average, only ~6k armor with war cry, 10k DPSish, ~1k all res, 20-30% crit chance.

Using Leap-II, Overpower-CA, Frenzy-Maniac, WotB-Insantity, Revenge-Provication, War Cry-Imp.

Passives - Superstition, Weap Mastery, Ruthless

I've played around with passives, annoying thing about earthquake is it sometimes wouldn't proc when surrounded by elites, it would wait til it hit the main elite, etc. I will probably switch back to Earthquake and Boon of BK, just because it was very effective at melting elites.

Currently dual wielding 600-800 LoH items, I may switch to just 1 800+ LoH weap and a shield... Then maybe get a Helm of Command.
 
ya with the set up in the first op i get maybe 1 death every 3 or 4 runs. I also took out the portion of the profile that has Festering woods. Seems to be a bug with db when you exit CoTA and Warriors rest combat doesnt get toggled back on and you just run the way points and die.
 
Figured I'd share my monk stats. Compared to Jackie I probably have a little less crit chance and resist, but more crit damage and LoH.

Str: 256
DeX: 1593
Int: 233
Vit: 764
Armor: 6896
Damage: 20k (unbuffed)
Res: 803 (stacked cold + all res)
Crit chance: 31
Crit damage: +180%
Block chance: 23% (helm of command, would like a better blocking shield)
LoH: 1356
Life: 27K
MF: 109% (without neph)

With Giles plugin I rarely die, except if I bump into two or three elites... Using a 800dps spear btw, with 400+ LoH, 70% crit, some dex and vit (<100). Oh and if Giles updates his plugin, the build will become even better, so it spams mantra for example and uses blind on elites only...

Int: 355
Vit: 600
Armor: 8000
Damage: 17500
Crit chance: 17% (would like more)
Crit damage: 97% (would like more)
Block chance: 15%
Res = 1000ish
LoH: 875
Life: 27K
MF: 125%

Using a 900dps spear, 350loh, crit dmg 50%, 2.5% life steal, 100 str. I sacrificed some vit, and all res for MF. I rarely die with this barb as well. I would like some more dps, although with WoTB and EQ elites die fast enough. So maybe for act 2 farming I will try some more vit and block.
