Banwave over?

I too would like to know... What's the normal process ppl take before running a new bot?

interested too... someone was talking about same banvawe on EU on the next day of US (14.12.2012), as i see there is no reports, so, should we be waiting for new vawe later or that's was just a thoughts of a couple?

There was no banwave - Blizzard simply held onto bans a while and unloaded a few hundred at once. They may have more accounts waiting to be banned in their pockets but its all speculation at this point.

blizz would rather scare off the botters than alienate all of there potential customers, believe it or not...it does seem DB may have been glitching a bit and caused some easier way of detection from what ive read though, hard to tell for sure

Usually they release a few EU bans 2-3 days after US. I would guess EU bans will be over sunday morning

ban's = more blizzard sales.... but if they ban everyone at the same time, people would realise that blizzard has already probably detected everyone who uses them already. So they probably calculate how long it takes for the average bot to become break even, then batch ban's based on that critera.

it would mean that people who are botting are making some money, so they will buy another account and keep going
blizzard gets more sales, and revenue from botters selling things though RMAH
The small "Ban Waves" get forum publicity, resulting in blizzard being able to give the impression to people who complain about botting that they care and are actually doing something for there sakes.

In all honesty it wouldnt be difficult for blizzard to have a subscription to all the major bots, then download the profiles...etc look at the co-ordinates and scan the co-ordinates where people teleport from the end of the run. If a few hundred people all port at the exact same spot, over and over and over again, chances are its a bot.

dont foget bots are good for the community in general aswell... remember all the shitty gear everyone had to use when wefirst all started inferno? if there where no bots, most of us would still be using that shitty gear, and anything remotely decent would be ridiculasly expensive. because better gear (and more of it) has been farmed for people to use, the prices of the gear that are being replaced has been significantly reduced and people who save up 1-5m gold can afford to gear with decent stats and run inferno 0 without many issues.... now Im just rambling as its late and I'm super tierd :P

I got banned and got a new acct up and running within 4 hours of first banwave. Paragon lvl 24 already haha, Blizzard can suck my nuggets.

This doesn't answer anything, I'm just bragging.

Oh, it would be easy for them to do.. However, it would be highly illegal for them to download the product considering it is in DB's TOS that no Blizzard employee is allowed to use this product. If they were caught, Blizz would be in a legal shit storm. Bossland would probably close down DB and move to vacation island with all of the money he would nickel and dime Blizz for :).

lmfao if you think DB's TOS has that kind of effect on Blizzard

DB has already severely violated Blizzard's TOS. Is DB forking over all their money to Blizz due to legal shit storm?

You act like DB can even afford 1/1000 of the quality lawyers that Blizz can

Get real...

You don't understand legal matters at all do you? If DB violates Blizzard's TOS, it does not give Blizzard the right to violate DB's TOS - trolol. I'm also guessing that you have not been around during the legal battles that their company has been having. It is a long process ;).

Actually I'm a law student.

The real question is: do YOU understand legal matters at all

what you just typed up came out of your ass, not any legal document

what makes you think DB has the right to violate Blizzard's TOS in the first place, but not the other way around?

stop spewing "legal this" and "legal that" when you're clearly ignorant. What you *think* is not law

Trolol again. The german courts have determined DB and Blizz to be "competitors". If Blizz illegally accessed their software they could be just as easily sued. Great job tho pre-law year 1 guy ;).

Your argument: They broke into my house, so I must be allowed to break into theirs without any legal repercussions!

By creating your account and purchasing DB you agreed to Bossland's TOS. Try to act like that wont hold in court, because it sure has for Blizzard for 10+ years now ;).
