wrong, let's give a credit to blizard to keep us alive for 7 months....tripwire is useless for months now and i hope that buddy dev will find a good way for an efficient new tripwire tool.

It's not from player reports because they would get a lot of false positives this way. HB has been detected since the first major ban wave in WoD. There are also some analytic bans and booby trap mechanics that happen for the most abused content (Firelands, Legion Herbs, etc) but what we just experienced is a pure detection ban. I would bet they have a 100% method to detect most bots. There is a guy on WRobot (considerably safer bot from last waves..) who said he just had the bot open (attached) and didn't have profiles or rotations running yet so purely detected. My friend has a private bot that he is unwilling to share atm, but it avoids all these waves until it eventually get's flagged for gold selling for how much gold it's moving over time (economy abuse bans instead after some time). This makes me think the HB is simply incompetent as producing a safe bot for a couple years now.

You have to have everything bullet proof in a bot's source code to evade all anti-cheat methods. Blizz is okay and getting better with anti-cheat, but there is a game that already mastered it (Rift). If you want a true challenge try making a bot that can survive for a long time on that game. There is a lot more going on more than silly reporting. Just use your brain the analytic stuff is so easy to get you. They set up stuff that's easy to query in a database, so let's say Firelands is the target.. let's poll everyone who reset this instance X amount of times per day etc, avg GPH, avg sustained gameplay time etc etc.

Now for the past couple years they also use an easier method to detect and flush all the bots seasonally to sustain the economy and push more WoW sales. From what I gather on the memory editing forums, it's one of those "Well, if Blizz did this, we'd be fucked.." scenarios. It's difficult to remain undetected because the bot's flaw by concept is that they have to stay in sync with something that has a lot of tricks to discover your presence.

All I know is that my friends private bot is fine every time, so Blizz isn't quite air tight and a safe bot is achievable. If you look around I think there is plenty of evidence of detection is going on.
 
Do not do what they want you to do people. They want all of you banned to buy new keys. And accounts. If you do not buy them they lose.

this is me trying to work through your update issue. seeing as how i am a community developer an all. it is my duty to offer advice when i feel i can contribute to the situation.

so, once again, did you try to log into the buddy auth?
 
fresh sorry fat fingers. And from personal experience bossland doesnt want people bad mouthing bossland. We went 7 months which was a heck of alot longer then the every 3 month to 4 month banns so be glad we got that long. Nothing it bullet proof when you are up against a multi billion dollar company who has noting but the best people working around the clock to catch us. Am i mad i just lost a great account? yes i am but i dont blame anyone but blizzard for breaking federal laws to find us.
 
your buddy key is different than your forum account. this is why anyone can be a dick on the forums, get banned and still use HB. HB doesnt appreciate people acting out on the forums, but taking the software away is just plain mean. you might check if the update server is up. im not sure how that works. the reason i dont know how that works is i am still running the old version of hb with the previous version of wow. i choose to not run the updater through battlenet so that when hb goes down on patch day, i can still bot.

did you update wow with the last patch? if not, i can find you the old version of hb that will work with the last version of wow. if you have updated to the current version of wow, i may not be able to help

when i choose to update hb, i download the zip file and extract into a fresh folder. this is the path id recommend to you.

hb is down for those willing to wait for tripwire to be fixed. for those of us that want to continue to bot we can go to buddyauth and disable tripwire.
