I would put my 2c on "botting behavior" I mean some people just let the bot run and forget that it could stuck, or whatever, crash, login/out indefinitely, some issues are not handled properly and that could lead into a flag... but it's also 80% luck

i just tested out and it's almost 100% confirm that once I dropped currencies/traded with others of my lv 6x merciless char, it get banned few hours after, happened 100% of about 10 accounts in total. However, even though I didn't trade, it get banned eventually after 2-3 days of 12 hrs botting. =( i am not farming maps though

Sorry to squish your theory but I do this all the time.

You must be flagged somehow I bot and never get banned always trade my currency to other account/ although i bot 3hrs-16hrs depending on motivation.

just depends I bot 8-12hrs a day depending on how greedy i feel. I recently switched to two accounts no ban here.
i've botted for atleast 8-9months as well.
