Happened to mee too. I forgot to deactivate my ***** (public *****) and startet wow for about 10 min. Then I noticed it and deactivated the ***** and played for an hour and logged out. After 5-6 hours I got my acc banned. In the email they wrote that my acc was involved in gold selling and they could find a connection between my accound and other gold sellers blablabla. I opened up a ticket and said that I don`t know what happened and the GM respondet that he detected that my account was hacked and unbanned it immediately and gave me some safety advice.
I dind?t sell gold on that account, it was my personal farming account.
I am 100% sure it was because of the *****. Because if it would be because of botting or gold selling they would not unbann my acc or would turn it into a 72h ban.
So be sure to never run wow through a *****!
