Banned - Summary of relevant posts

Been running 24/7 for 2+ months on 7 accounts using immortal bot still no ban - there are tons of people on our forums running 15-20 bots without a ban also.

I've heard of maybe 2 bans on our forums so far and it seems to be trolling or billing related.

This seems like quiet a few people banned all at the same time for something not to be up?

The users may not be 100% honest and a few may have run AH bots?

I have 2main questions that I would like , banned users, attach to their post.

-Someone got banned switching profiles between runs?
-Does people who 24/7 change ip every 8hours or so?

Changing your IP address will get your account flagged for being hacked.

I guess it depends on the way they do their host names. AOL use to get a lot of shit from websites for having dynamic host names because you couldn't tell a person in one state from a person in another state and it made it impossible to ban any c-class IP address strain without banning the entire ISP.

They made their host names like this -> A8H2J4D2.aol.com so there was no way to tell where the person was connected from lol.

I do use hidemyass.com and authenticator, and i?ve choose to select only an ip of the country I?ve registered my account and not banned yet.
Maybe this isn?t be the best way to not get attention from blizzard,so better ideas is always welcome, thats the goal of this thread.

Just wondering.. (really curious..), can't a Blizzard employee on a security team sign up for DB and read all the post on this forum and download DB and inspect it?

I agree with a lot of the posts on this thread. Blizzard is a business and is run like a business. Finding and banning botters costs them too much to do. I think if the rmah plays a role in their decision. Imagine how much money they are making off botters that utilize the rmah frequently.

I think that you have to agree not to do things like that when creating an account and purchasing DB. Besides, I doubt they would be able to access the DB servers.

I been using DB for 24 hrs for 3 months now and safe...

Anyhow, commonalities seem to be:
Botting right after wednesday patch.
Doing Sarkoth
Using v1.60
Multiple accounts same IP / HW but not all getting banned.
All bans on EU servers this far.

Though none of those have been confirmed by all posters.[/QUOTE]
