Banned in the last few weeks? Let's track it!

Someone had a good idea in a main forum thread about bans, so here goes.

This thread is only for people that have been banned recently.

I would like to see trending on where and why bans are happening, and this seems like a decent way to do so. So you are the unfortunate victim of a recent ban (say within 2 weeks or so), please let us know why and make sure to choose the appropriate locale.

This will let players in different areas know what to be on the lookout for and hopefully prevent some more unnecessary losses.

Remember: pick the activity that most closely matches what you were doing when the ban happened. If its not listed specifically, choose the misc option and let us know.

People need to take into consideration the last 30 days max, because the delay bans in order to avoid you knowing how they banned you.

I wanted to include each option for each region, but the Internet monster ate my poll so I simplified it due to being on an ipad.

I think the report feature is really starting to kick in. Got banned first using kicks profile, then i returned and did a few hours of bg botting spread over 3 days(2-3 hour sessions each time) and got my account fully closed havent had any whispers, except one when i was using the quest bot. Boting in anyway now around players where the bot moves himself seems kinda stupid now.

I don't think it's a matter of having more reports now. There's a massive difference between EU bans and US bans, and the bans are hitting all servers. Basically, it's not like Europeans started reporting more now, across all servers. Obviously there's a pattern we haven't figured out yet, but each day looks less random.

they reduced the amount of player reports is needed for an auto ban, they then look at the outcome on this forum and see if anything changes (usually they want to see everyone panic'ing and saying I'm not botting anymore which is in fact working on some people).

I got banned for using 3rd party program on my Druid, (explicitly named my druid in the email I got from them) and I only use him to farm, so yeah I'm pretty sure it's that. I don't think my ban was delayed. I was botting overnight and in the morning I forgot to turn it off when I went to work coz I was in a hurry, and it continued for another 8 hours making it 16+ hours straight farming. Was banned when I came home.

Yep but doesn´t make much sense. Most of the people that stop botting basically stop playing WoW at all! I refuse to play that stupid grindfest game, actually. And of course I refuse to pay any money for that game, so the day I haven´t got enough gold to pay for gametime I will quit, as many will do.

I totally agree on that one. Since I feel I can't use bgbuddy atm, I don't feel like logging in to the game at all. It's just... blergh. Doing all that honor farming manually for the millionth time? Nah

First off, reading this profile and my game disconnected but internet was on, i completely and utterly shat myself thinking when i try to log in my account would be banned ( thank god it wasn't) secondly has anyone actually been banned while they were watching they're bot. because im a super safe person when i bot, "aka not for long periods of time and always watching the bot so i make myself look less botty if im moving in a bot like style or i get blocked behind something" because i notice when i see people get banned its usually because they're not actually watching the bot so i wonder what the ban ratio is for people who only bot when they're watching they're bot.

Got banned using Kicks lvl profiles wen i was 81 in MH ,plus i was in front of computer most of the time because to much stuck and such will lvl-ing ,and just boom disconect and wen did try to log got 72h ban.

im also curious to hear if anyone have been banned over using lazyraider, since thats my favorite weapon. i hardly think so but would be nice to hear about ^^
