Banned 1/3 - Scarecrow Only

A simple scarecrow plugin I made, basically a plant seed, gatheratfarm, only planted on my farms) and then thread.sleep that I have been using for a month.

5) Did you use different IP addresses? (Note, that public or lowcost private IP list, and V-P-Ns can be used by another bots\ spammers).
Private VPN through Virginia that gave me some decent ping.

6) Any another information that you consider relevant.
in the email I got banned for "Client Hacking", "this email address has been banned for being well over the accidenal or internet lag-induced false positive thresold for client hacking.".

This wasn't a new account, I had done some questing with it, including to get the scarecrow design, and I was so confident and felt safe, because I was only using for planting, that it had properties in it and it had done so much farming that it was lvl 47, worst part is that in the same day I just had renewed Patron 2 APEX.

Any tips would be welcome

I was also banned on one of my accounts for my script. I think occasionally a gm will check around land for afk bots. I have 2 accounts I run each same time in different areas fully afk with custom scarecrow plugin. Both have done well, but recently the free to play account was banned for scarecrow on multiple farms. I think there may be certain actions that may trigger a gm to check you out (wow does this) and planting same crop repeatedly for 50k+ proficiency is an easy way to flag someone as a bot.

What I do now, successfully so far, is only afk farm at night during the week when population is way lower. I run questing or other plugin on accounts during the day to get labor regen on them. I've only been banned on my free to play account, not my patron account. Both fully afk bot. It's worth mentioning my free to play was planting on a few 8x8 farms in the same order for many hours. This could have raised a flag also, always doing same order of farms.

Both bots share a private proxy, and only one has been banned so they are at least lenient with the bans (no ip ban, no investigating where items go, etc.) Both accounts were reported as bots once. On patron, was reported and luckily I was watching at the time so I immediately portal to marionople judge and clear it. Went immediately back to botting on that account and no bans (worth noting I pay for patron with real money)

When my free to play was reported, I did not notice the debuff until a few hours later. When I cleared suspected user it was at 20 hours. I immediately went back to botting (since it was "safe" on the other account) and I was banned while afk farming multiple farms a few hours later. What this means is they actually check out reports for free to play if you don't clear the debuff right away. Patron gets more leeway when reported.

I have heard gms are always stealthed in auroria areas, since auroria is bot city

I hope my experience can help some people learn what "triggers" a ban.

Strange, when I was banned I did not get any email whatsoever. Just "disconnected by a gamemaster" and can't log in after. To be honest a lot of people have been banned accidentally for "lag" and got same email as you. I would try to appeal, say you were farming and don't know why you were banned. If they ask, say you have lag sometimes. You may have been banned by hackshield for a "false" positive. I do not think scarecrow is detected, but it's possible the scripts are if they always farm multiple farms in same order. I personally think appeal and you'll get it back.

Yeah, a ton of ppl got false positives in this games, including a couple of friends of mine, who I know don't bot, one during the last fckup in that weekend that the servers were out for 3 days, and yet they still had no reply.

I'm appealing, but best case scenario, it will be overturned in weeks, or months, frankly, part of the fun in Archeage has become botting and writing the plugins.

The one time I had an account banned was the same day that I paid for Patron status.. hrm.. I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

I don't run any custom scripts. I only used scarecrow.

That kinda reminded me of another post, where the guy said he one of his accounts got banned 2h after patron ended. That account had received a few reports before weeks before, but when it was a Patron they didnt touch it, then when it went free they decided they automatically take action, there is probally a threshold for free and patron accounts.

Definitely is a different threshold for f2p and patron. I think they may wait because if you pay for patron with real money and they ban, they may be obligated to give refund. I had patron banned months ago, and they gave me a refund email, even though that particular account I bought patron with apex, they still said I was being issued a refund. So I think with real money they would refund you, which may be why patron can get away with more than f2p

I had patron banned months ago, and they gave me a refund email, even though that particular account I bought patron with apex, they still said I was being issued a refund. So I think with real money they would refund you, which may be why patron can get away with more than f2p

Considering I got banned right after patron ended, and even tho probally got treated as a f2p account and got the ban hammer. Who knows, everybody who is appealing and had their accounts unbanned, are telling it took them a month.

Well, another account got banned, that literally did nothing but farming, same deal, "Lag Above the Threshold", it was a f2p account, and it had 2 other accounts working near, all had been afk farming and were tagged with suspected user debuff, so I guess, it's "unsafe" to use it without Patron, and definitely not let patron expire, but rather renew it before!

Just appeal it, will take a few weeks for them to respond, say you believe you may have been banned unfairly on a false positive, I don't know what could cause that? I don't use any third party programs and I find this extremely frustrating could you amend this please. While I understand the third party detection software may not be perfect my account has been affected if you could please check my logs you will see that I am a legit player thank you in advance. 9 - 10 they won't even look at the logs as they are bogged down with other issues, they will simply take your word as good faith as you have demonstrated some frustration and you were well with manors, they will most likely reinstate your account as you didn't come off aggressive.

Trion also runs a script every 10 to 12 hours or so that looks for proxies, your account may have been flagged simply by that.

The only common denominator I found to be, was the f2p, my account even tho I renewed Patron, was f2p that same day for a few hours, and probally treated as such, and the other was a f2p account, also that day, neighboor was being a douche and reporting it about the land, I hope not, I have a ton of farms there, and I have a lot of "white slaves" working there, hehehe

Thanks, that's what I decided to do the day I got banned, however I have a couple friends who have been flagged for false positives, and it has been a month and they have yet to be unbanned, or even have their tickets responded.

Well guys, after nearly a month of waiting, got my account unbanned, didnt see any message telling me they are doubling my patron time for time lost, as it is their usual way to compensate for those banned.

using bot for months.. only got banned in diff. accounts for using Scarecrow.. rest are ok
hope you learn guys, just use scarecrows with free accs or alts

Apparently planting with scarecrow on an incline causes a flag on Trion's end of things. So watch out for that too.
