I botted PoE like 2 years ago with the stupid exiled-bot, got banned and tried a fresh start with exilebuddy 2 weeks ago.

I guess i should have switched my hardware ID/mac but i already had a fresh IP and a fresh Windows/PoE so i forgot.



Botted between 4 and 14hours a day the last 2 weeks.
Different areas, maps, and all questing manually. Possible reasons:

- Many stucks at docks/sarn/lib
- Many townruns (after the first week i stopped to pick up rares to reduce town runs)
- did ~10 trades
- too fast progess from lvl 1 to lvl 80 maps botting. But i guess there are many botter who start fresh and are way faster
- the day before i got banned i botted like 6 + 4 + 4 hours with breaks between (too greedy)
- i had some strange disconnects and was stuck at login-screen often. After restart of my modem it was ok
- GGG keep hardware ID logs over 2 years and mine was flagged
- The IP range from my provider was already flagged

- did ~10 trades If they start investigating peeps for trading, they'll start offering jobs. (strange trades are eligible tho)
- too fast progess from lvl 1 to lvl 80 maps botting. But i guess there are many botter who start fresh and are way faster
- the day before i got banned i botted like 6 + 4 + 4 hours with breaks between (too greedy) NEIN, 24/7 is strange, yours is not
- i had some strange disconnects and was stuck at login-screen often. After restart of my modem it was ok So poor peeps/country with shitty interwebz can't play PoE?
- GGG keep hardware ID logs over 2 years and mine was flagged Source?
- The IP range from my provider was already flagged

Here, your update list of possible reasons
Usually, a behavior modification could trigger the alarm. Your botting Schedule must change slightly but not a lot, except if you're doing 24/7, don't change anything until the bot dies.

well, as far as i know there is no suitable relogger available for EB. (like hbrelog for HB)
(so my botting schedule was like „hey, i got time, hey i need some sleep, hey my PoE has crashed, hey my PoE disconnected, hey my girlfriend is waiting) ^^

Means: completely different times.
But i cannot imagine this is a flag for bot detection. If you always play exactly 8 hours a day at the same time this would be strange (in my opinion)

Found some postings how to adjust the stuck detection (better than default values) but now it’s too late anyway.

I guess if every EB ban would be posted here it would fill up a few pages in the last weeks

yep. 2 or 3 times the trade chat to exchange some orbs and a few times chat in public party for questing.

but why should anybody put me on his "watchlist" because i sold 200 chroms in 1 trade?

oh. What would you want from a relogger? Keep in mind that PoE client likely has a GUID created at install time. Your IP would need to change between PoE accounts. Some would say your MAC address would need to be changed between accounts.

Bot on! You can likely go real hard at the start of a league as there are many crazies that manually do 18 hours a day for the first week or two of a league. Unfortunately EB is down for the first 3 or 4 days after a patch, or much longer for 1.4, so.. that mad period is somewhat over by the time we come in to stabilize the economy *chuckle*

My conclusion: PoE botting is something you can do if you use an old account and bot just for fun very slightly. 2-4 hours per day.

If you get overambitious and try to equip and level fast you got the banhammer very very fast.
Lvl 1-80 and botting maps within 10 days after account creation? = ban (in my case)


Well, there might be people like darkbluefirefly who managed to multibot and „handle“ bans so there is always more accounts running in farm mode than accounts banned.

but i guess he invested like 100’s of hours to set up a system like this.


league start for botting is a good idea but i don't want to pay again (montly) for a static ip (which is the safest way)
i also remember troubles with Mac-Changer and VPN disconnects. (vpn guard needed and such things)

resulting in many questions like „was it safe?“ „was it ok?“ „did anything happen which gets my account(s) in trouble?“

Running VMs and botting PoE is playing around with many question marks
I don't want to invest again 30 or 40 hours to get a bot account running via fresh VM/IP/Mac to see it banned a few days later.
I also don't want to bot like 1 or 2 hours a day because i always hear "bot hard, bot smart" whispers in my ear

so i guess i stop again and check in later

P.S.: Relogger is only meant to resolve poe/eb disconnects and crashes. for example 1 relogger per VM manages to keep your bots up and running.

The last two weeks I botted 12-13 hrs a day on two accounts. Yes both were old but never been banned. I botted dom with lvl85 char and never got banned. I use advance grindzone and dom plugins. Made about 32ex in alteration as well as some cool uniques. Don't think it matters how long you bot honestly.

Bans are based on behaviors. that's different, something unusual for humans that will trigger the alarm, 10-12 hours a day is still "normal" most streamers actually do that.
Farming overleveled zones for hours, strange ip changes/switches, taking short time to level up to 60+, close to no interactions with the bot aswell.

To have a bot acting like a human, tell him to. he won't do it himself.

Yeah I agree. Obviously the more minimal your botting the less chance you have to get caught. No matter what you do when you cheat / bot at any game there is a risk. I was just letting him know I've botted for nearly a year and have had same schedule two sep pc's 12-13 hrs a day mostly during challenge leagues and 1months races never had any issue ban or currency flag etc that kind of stuff. Ofc I play the game as well sometimes on one of my pcs. Anyway best of luck to you.

I suggest buying your own server and setting up vpn there, quite simple and your ip is only yours
