Bad node ?

I am farming herb and i added the the badnodes that came with my profile to my badnode xml in my GB folder but it flew right back into the Elite mobs that are standing by the herbs i want to stay away from. So i am thinking i didnt add the badnode list that came with the profile correctly. Do i just copy and paste it beneath what is already in my bad node xml or do i just toss it in the GB file?
 
Is GB and WoW Language set to En-US?
Were the coordinates f?or the badnodes seperated with . or ,?
 
The coordinates are serperated with . I dont know exactly what that means but i know wow is set for En-us i dont know how to check GB but i have only seen english txt
 
Try to replace all . with , ...has worked for me.

(You can do this with Microsoft Word ...just googel after it)
 
Ok. I dont use microsoft work is there anyway to do it in notepad without having to doing it manually?
 
Open up the badnodes.xml in notepad
Select "Edit" on the top of the program...there should be an option named sth. like replace or so...Open it
In the first line type. and in teh second line type ,...the click "replace all"

(Sorry if you cant understand it...im not a native speaker)
 
No its ok i understand exactly what your saying. I will give this a shot and see how it works. I will let you know if it worked. Thanks for the help.
 
Well i cant figure out if it worked or not. The spots that it is running in Icecrown with the elites are either not on this list or i havent put it in the badnodes file correctly. Oh well i am to frustrated to fool with it anymore. Thank you for your help though. Now i just have to wait untill there is a button to push to add bad nodes.
 
wait a sec :)

can you upload your badnodes.xml file and the exact ccordinates of the node you want to blackist?

Also I notices that lots of badnodes are missing in the Profiles you can get here on the Fourms...I had to blacklist 20-30 nodes on the icecrown profile I use...which one do you use?
 
I use http://www.buddyforum.de/showthread.php?42-MINING-HERB-Icecrown-by-iggi66 It seems like it would be a HUGE money maker if i could just not go to some of the ones that are on the flatter area where there are alot of mobs. My farming toon has poor gear right now and cant handle more then one or two lvl 80s.

There are actually several nodes i want to add i just cant figure out how to add them myself. Really if i could just get this profile to work then that would be more then enough for me. I am making most of my gold from LW and mining and the toon i use for that can handle plenty of adds.

I was using exactly the same Profile and it's the problem of the Profiles Bandnodes List.
I also had to add a lot of Nodes and still discover some over the time that need to be added.
I'll upload you my one...badnodes are almost only for icecrwon...works good for me but some dangerous spots are still there I think.
(Also some Bandnodes are added twice in teh list because it didnt work otheriwse :confused:)

Oh man that would be awsome. I will replace the one in my folder right now and give this a shot.
 
Welcome to mining and herbing in Icecrown and Storm Peaks.

Honestly that's why I don't bother with either of them. Between the elite mobs, the big mob groups, nodes underground, cliffs and steep hills, the zones are just too dangerous and cause too many problems to be really worth as much. I make much more money in SB than I ever did in SP or IC.
 
I havent gotten to try SB yet but i have a good profile for mining. I will be trying it for herbs later tonight

Prices for Lichblomm/Icethorn are very high on my server ...whilst you get nearly nothing for the things you can get in sb...thats the reason why I'm farming there^^It's just a question of good macros and blacklisting

I hope my badnodes work better for you^^
 
Oh, I have downloaded the one previded to me by Bioern but it keeps doing the same thing. So far i havent been able to get past the nodes around 45,65 and there is one around 41,47. Really i would just like to blacklist EVERY node down in the flat area with all the patrolling mobs and elites.
