there is a thread of someone who has 2 accounts banned using act 1 champion farming which is a fairly long profile.

Neh it ain't Humans have a tendency to socialize, either through public game/chats/trade.

Sure a minority of players might like playing solely by themselves without ever meeting another person in game, but you do not want to be on the minority side when they come checking. Rather be safe if you get what I mean

lack of communication is not a means to flag anyone, as a lot of people use out of game chat to communicate via skype/vent/ts. Add in the fact that in game chat box has no customization and is complete shit. Why would you invite random public people who can see you go in and out of games for 12 straight hours to a list of people who WILL report you?

Then you could simply scroll down to the part about public profiles If you get flagged, blizzard could easily review your patterns and compare them to what the popular public profiles are using, I mean it's open source + open forums in here.

And to the guy above who mentioned something about adding pubs, doesn't the fact that you were going in and out of games 12 hour straight signify something wrong, regardless whether you had friends or not?

Thanks for the guide. To my understanding, would it be true that if I never bot on my main, my main won't be banned even if my bot is on same pc/ip?

Also, how do I safely transfer items to my main?

Only someone from Blizzard can give you exact answers As for my speculation.

AFAIK, Blizzard does not ban for botting on same ip (think dorms and other shared apartments/connections), however, I would advise you NOT to bot on the same computer without VMware/ISOboxer or some other form of isolation. D3 very likely has a client id (so do not copy and paste), and some portions of your computer hardware has it's own unique id as well. It's pretty much a dead give-away when those ids matches.

There are some p-r-o-x-y (censored somehow) providers on the net if you want to permanently smurf a fake ip, but they usually charge a small fee per month for usage.

pretty sure its not #of games made per hour that gets u tagged.. as i been running warriors rest which makes around 80 games per hour 24/7 and no flag.
they just have something against sarkoth and queen or whatever that leveling profiles are. nothing against other profiles as of yet.

I have several bots they do core of arreat for weeks now, 24/7...never got banned or anything.
Yesterday i had a new dh (i only have monks and witch doctors) hit 60 and spent gold on some pretty good gear and he was too fast and hit the cap....and bam HAMMERTIME.

The only difference between my old chars that run core of arreat 24/7 and the new dh is, that the dh just was way faster.
As i only did core of arreat and only the dh is banned i think i can say it is:

a) blizzard has an eye on dh's
or/and
b) blizzard has an eye on people that hit the game limit

I got banned using a barb on Core ~ 7-8 h/day
