Available, Away, Busy, how about... Invisible?

Has anyone ever poked around and looked into the possibility of a 'hidden' or 'invisible' status?
Maybe interrupting a certain port or modifying a little code that might make "Invisible", possible?

Doubtful, I know.
The digging I've done makes it look pretty grim but... just because I can't see a way doesn't mean that someone else hasn't been more successful with it than I've been.

It's not common that I mess around much on my main account anyway but... sometimes an opportunity presents itself and it would be nice to take advantage of it if at all possible.

Being "Available" kinda makes it less appealing. I could change my status to "Busy" or "Away" but... the people on my friends list would see that as odd thing for me to do - so I don't.

I just want to be able to occasionally disappear for a couple hours, that's all...

Anyhow... I'm not holding my breath.

Well, this post wont help you very much, but .... it was possible in good old Diablo2 days by just blocking 1 packet, iirc.
Also iirc, Blizzard was going to integrate that option 2 years ago already, now the stated its not possbile (aka we dont want that feature).

I would love this feature and remember reading the blizz forums a while back and people asking for it. Thats as far as the threads went.

Steam has the feature "Appear Offline" which I use as sometimes I just wanna play on my own
