AV - not worth it whilst it is not Call to Arms

I guess my topic says it all, what do you guys think? I found out early yesterday (sunday) that It was AV weekend and I made a few lvls! and comparing that to only grinding mobs I wish I had thought of that before.. So should I keep doing AV or not?
 
As incomplete as the PVP feature is (especially with the mount problems), most of us here are still AV PVP botting. What does that tell about how rewarding Call to Arms - AV is?
 
Im still botting PvP, as i think its a great time saver IMHO.
 
i managed 68 - 80 this weekend and my new dk is 55- 10 so far and hell be running till tonight, so yeah av is totally worth it
 
I guess it depends on your battlegroup. Mine's been great over the weekend, but from last night, I've not been able to get in an AV instance. I'd be better off using questing profiles for now but will hang on until the end of CTA tonight. Hopefully I'll be able to get in some from lunchtime onwards
 
I got 70-80 this weekend suicide botting, normally had highest death count, but was always in the middle to upper end of the honor list by end of the battle.

By battle group averaged approx 70% win ratio, so got honour capped 4 times. ;-)

Also I did this in 60 pvp set & greens all weekend, so defo worth it for me.
 
I think you guys seem to be missing at least part of the OPs question - is AV worth botting outside of the CTA weekend? i.e. is the XP/H income much worse when it's not CTA? I'm also interested in this :)

Ohh yea I think your right...

On my pally I did mixed mode grind and pvp and it worked out quite well for me even not in a cta weekend.

I personally think that GRINDING only looks far too suspect, especially if they put you under investigation and see that you have 3 Achievements. With mixed mode at least you will get a string of Achievements and it wouldnt look too suspect.
As I said thats just my personal opinion, but for XP I prefer Questing mode as its much more like how it would be if you played for real.
 
Yeah I'm not overly keen on pure grinding 1-80, I try and throw in a few manual instance runs for gear/less bot-like appearance etc. If botting AV (or any BG) isn't going to make my XP/H drop TOO much it'd probably be worth doing!

From what I remember the xp rate was slightly better doing Mixed Mode out of CTA, but that might be wrong, as I said im botting so what do I care if it takes another 24hrs longer to get to max level.

I just dont want it banned for killing 10,000,000 mobiles and no achievements.
 
Well I'm gonna start an orc shammy tonight, so I'll be testing what works best with Mixed/Questing/Grinding throughout the level ranges and I'll report back with my findings :)
