Auto Angler - Addon that fishes and trains plus some other cool features.

I mostly just stop off and fish at random spots, and don't pool hunt much as I have a crowded server and it can be obvious (already had a few times people have followed my toons gathering and grinding so worried about reports).

So each time I stop somewhere, I do a location, copy the hotspot to a temp profile, and reload it so that I can fish at just that one spot.

Is there any way to configure this plugin such that if I press start, it simply fishere whereever im at and doesn't move? This way I can run and just start when I want to fish somewhere...
 
Try creating an empty, blank profile with just <HBProfile></HBProfile> in it. Shouldn't move at all.

Ahhh ok will do. I tried a profile skeleton but just an empty waypoint element and it puked if I rememeber, or simply didn't do anything because it had no where to go.

I'll try it.
 
Do you think it's safe trying to get 525 fishing skill level realm first with this plugin or will Blizzard be watching carefully everyone that's trying to get that kind of achievements?

Common sense tells me that this plugin isn't suspicious, as you just keep fishing, like you would do manually. But I don't know if Blizzard really pays attention to people that's is near getting one of these achievements. If that's the case, then it may be problematic if they are capable to see that you are using Honor Buddy (which isn't possible at first sight by other players, as you are doing nothing suspicious).

It is suspicious. It would be less so if we could add a pause between casts or running to pools and just fishing in random hotspot that isn't a pool, etc.

Also, few people click on a bobber so fast, loot, and recast non-stop. Just watch _anyone_ fishing, including yourself when you are manual.

And if Blizzard keeps stats like they seem to do, I'm guessing they might even have a stat for your toon that is # of times cast vs. # of times you successfully bring up a fish. Those who botted will be so much closer to 100% than anyone else...

Would anything happen? Probably not, but why take a chance.

That said, since most will want to level first, you can go to some random spot and just fish non-stop.

But common sense would say if my account has been used to bot to begin with, drawing attention from GMs since they _might_ review an account of a server first for something that has well known bots out to help accomplish...would tell me if you still do it, you're clearly not using your common sense.
 
character moves to hot spot, but wont fish... tried 4 other profiles, including just standing there.... no dice. any help?
 
Having problems with water walking on a shaman with the standard CC :(

I loaded an empty profile and started to fish. It works like a charm except:
1. It tries to cast three times every time:

Probably a problem with the HB test release but I though I would post anyway. :-)
 
Can anyone confirm that this plugin automaticly loots BoP items? I know it says so in the description, but does it really work?
I might have unusual bad luck, but if the auto BoP is not working that may answer my question.
 
So I've got this working perfectly for just standing in a spot and fishing...

But I don't know how/why it's not using pools.

I made a simple profile with just a few waypoints and meant to stop at three close-by pools.

My toon runs to the required locations but he never actually fishes at them, he just keeps going in a loop. And yes, a couple of the pools were up. Additionally, if no pools are up, I guess he'll just run endlessly until a pool is up instead of fishing for a bit and then checking again?

And lastly, whe he does run around and mob aggros, he doesn't seem to want to stop to fight it while moving...

I suppose I don't care as long as he can stand in one spot and fish works....since running to pools on a crowded server can be asking for attention from other fisherman in the area, but I still wouldn't mind using it in older, quiet zones, etc.

Any advice?

What u have described sounds like a HB issue and a CC issue.

Count yourself lucky that you can actually run round waypoints. Most people can't even move.
 
I'm using the plugin with my priest, it is doing pretty good but there is just one thing that annoys me. It casts Levitate sometimes and that stops the fishing. I have no idea why it is doing that. If somebody knows how to fix it, i would love to hear it.
 
using the built in hunter CC it doesn't cast the line, but if i manually cast, it will correctly loot the bobber. Anyone else having this issue?
 
Yes, at least in the new zone Vashijr, underwater world, when I put him in a cave, make a simple profile for that hotspot, the bot equips the right items, but does not cast. Just stands there

I am having the same problem, although it's not Vashijr but Mt. Hyjal.
 
I think that is because the new Fishing Illustrious Grand Master has a new id...
