Authentication failed

So I have been using HB for a long time and then just the other day I went to log in and I get
​
Honorbuddy v2.5.6441.507 started.
Logging in....
Buddy sessions: 0/0
--------
Shared sessions 0/0
Invalid Account Details
Authentication Failed!

Now I have read all the other posts on other people having this problem so I followed other solutions that worked for them IE

add an exception on your firewall and your antivirus
also make sure port 5031 is open

I have also tried to change my pass and then re log but I still get this same Authentication Failed.
Thanks to any one that can help or share some info.

have you updated?
if you havent try that or delete it completely and reinstall, i had the same issue and it works for me after a fresh install, make sure to keep you serial code and/or your username/password. Hope this helps!

Ok so i changed my pass sent it all to me by email and it still didnt work but when I put in my old pass its working now .... weird lol thanks every one that posted on this for me I guess ill just stick with my old pass.
