Make DB more human: Time to step it up in light of the AH bans?
Since the AH banwave shows blizz bans based on bot-like behavior (even when not detecting the bot/script itself) and lots of people are running sark/core/whatever 24/7 i think its time to step up Arelog (or a plugin that logs off after X hours, takes a break (x hours or minutes) and then logs back on and continue botting and adds some randomness to the bot. (that would be the base minimum, more features like switching profiles etc should be added).
Why is this important? To protect the demonbuddy customers. Demonbuddy is marketed as "not detectable" and i don't think it is detectable but the behavior itself IS detectable.
So if you get banned for your botting behavior with demon buddy or you get banned coz blizz detected the bot demonbuddy, the result is the same either way: you get banned.
I think the demonbuddy team is covering the "not detectable bot" thing very well BUT we are missing a layer of protection on the "bot-like behavior" front.
(like arelog or something similar. Something that makes the bot seem less like a bot (idea's = adding randomness to the demonbuddy's path, relogger, farming sarko, then killing some monsters in act 2 then go back to sark, etc)
Also i'll adress 2 forms of replies i'll probably get:
1= Wtfhaxkbai: Dont bot sarko/whatever 24/7
Well i don't want to bot him 24/7, i want arelog or a plugin that automaticly logs off after X time (or even better, randomly after x time) and then logs back on (im pretty sure botting for 12h straight (like during the day) and turning off the bot during the night is as detectable as botting 24/7.
2= Its not the demonbuddyteams job to provide that extra level of protection
Well i think it is. If you get banned coz blizz detected the bot or you get banned coz blizz detected bot like behavior the result is the same. This isn't WoW and blizz is much more focussed on banning bot like behavior. I think, hope and expect protection against this. This should be a priority next to demonbuddy development. When (not if) blizz's banwave of goldfarming hits people here will QQ like hell and telling them "well, you shouldn't have botted sark 24/7, its your own fault" won't go over well if we (demonbuddy team and the community) can prevent this as much as possible by making a plugin/program.
PS: a request for a plugin like this was posted days ago: http://www.thebuddyforum.com/demonb...ofiles/57994-plugin-request-auto-breaker.html. Thread seems dead.
