Alright, im gonna try and help as soon as i feel its unwanted im gonna let ya' cry me a river.

What version of HB are you using?
What default profile are you using?
What customclass are you using?
Have you selected your mesh volder via general settings?

Lets see if we can get things working for you.
(If you're planning on leaving the bot unattended please consider using a grind profile over a questing profile as it's still on BETA.)
 
If he just got to a level 7 that's probably the first sign. Someone downloading a profile forgetting that the gear eventually needs updated (oh, and your started gear gets outdated VERY quickly and you die very easily at level 7 or 8 or so).

Make sure to read into the profile. If you download some 1-60 profiles you've got to start out in a certain race's starting zone. (i.e. Tauren, etc). The running part is the bot trying to get to this spot and it's not going to attack mobs that are not in the current profile settings. BOTs don't stand for "No interaction on the user's behalf" or else that'd be dubbed "NIUB". It is for the most part pull out of the box and go but you cannot download the incorrect profile and expect it to correct itself. Bots are dynamic in some sense but setting it up is on your end. You tell it what you want not vice-versa.

I did update the gear though.. best gear from NPC. The only time the bot gets me killed is when it aggros multiple monsters (which unfortunately is often) or when it doesn't even attack back (when its running to hand in a quest).

I guess I'll tinker some more.
 
Just putting this out there to make sure. You're leveling a dwarf, correct? Also, what class?

Hunter. I'm new to botting though. How much information is too much to give out? Then again, this game is huge.
 
Do not use a question profile, jeeze. You JUST bought the bot, you want it to run unattended. And you chose a profile and a feature that is in HEAVY beta, and expect it to work.

I want it to run unattended, of course, but I'm actually watching it intently. Thats how I'm able to describe how it dies each time.

Almost every profile I see is in its beta though.. which profile would you suggest then?
 
I read the first page and you made me angry.

Try seeking help before raging up. Theres an extensive guide section on the forum also, use GRINDING MODE until you know wtf is going on. Questing has been in a usable state for about 1 week now, be thankful it exists.
 
Using Mordd's 1-20 profile now. It seems to be working fine.

But if I'm only grinding, its a lot harder to keep my gear up to date.

I have never been able to configure any CC's at all.. Im using HB 1.9.5..

Ive leveled a hunter from 1-61 with HB using the standard CC with no configuring..
 
ITs obviously a CC/profile issue.

a lot of the custom class's will not allow you to config them using the CC config, you have to open the .xml file. At such a low level that shouldnt really be an issue though.
 
yep bad configs i use my bot all the time it might die once or twice but that is becourse questing is in beta and sometimes target red mobs
 
OP got owned. In addition, you're the idiot that expects things to be ready out of the box, click start, poof. It doesn't work like that. When you buy a desk, do you rip off the cardboard and there it is, standing straight up? No.

Quite often, even with very smart employees, you have to make sure they know exactly what they're supposed to be doing. Imagine a new guy walking into the place where you work (lol, assuming you have a job) and you say, there you go, take care of it all for me, I'm going on vacation. With no direction or idea of what is required of him, how do you think that would turn out? Even the lowliest of menial jobs has a learning curve. It might not be steep, but it is there.
