Are there some other games wort botting for money?

Why do people cry about taxes earned on mostly free money?

You make $300 a week for $1200 a month average. You take out 30% for taxes that would leave you with around $850 a month. Now you take out another $500 pay your electric bill. Down to $350, that you spend on your internet connection. What ever is left put aside for a rainy day.

That seems like a pretty good return even with paying your taxes.

crap. :P

My laptop uses 70 watt, and can run 3 accs. and the electricity have different cost in each land.

And when you bot on alot of comps you dont have to pay for heat or what to call it in english.

Wich where i live cost shitloads of money. i use around 2200$ a year, to have a good temperature in my house :)

botting in d3 doesnt get u any money...

gold is at 0.25 per mio.

30% fee on gold mean u get like 0.17 or 0.18 per mio... not even the electricity bill

Can I just chime in with a "who the heck sells gold??" Why don't you guys use it to buy items and sell them on the RMAH ie Witching Hours with good stats??

You missed the point, when botting pays for it self + elevates your other month to month bills its more then worth it. Instead of electric how about we just pay the rent. That work better for you? Either way most everyone has at least a couple hundred in up keep a month between all the bills they have.

You guys have to factor in the work requried to make this money. It takes a while to sift through items, post/repost on the RMAH, maintain the bots, etc.

But people for get about taxes here in the US. thats what prevents me from going all out with botting.

i dont wanna tax my money i make off a game its just a bit ridiculous

Not sure why people even care about this one... If you know how to fill out your deductions on a 1099 you wont have any tax liability....

If you are having to spend time reposting items your pricing them too high... Price to sell not maximize profit... Every item I post usually sells within 25 minutes... Than again I price items so the AH botters out there are buying my items to flip them...

I treat GPH as my primary income from bots as its a reliable base income, items are a variable bonus income... So if I sell a 5M pair of gloves for 3M, or 10M for 6M I don't really care as I would rather move product then sit on it longer to make a pennies more... ( Your only netting .18 per million )

Lol, lately this "pics or it didn't happen" garbage has been getting out of hand. Not sure what anyone really has to gain by lying on here anyways. Just a bunch of trolls browsing the forums and people still upset because their couple accounts got banned in the previous batch. Spending a couple weeks trying to determine whether or not it is safe to get back into botting. Meanwhile, they continue to troll the forums and trying to stir stuff up.

don't mind the novices... you've done enough to contribute to this community, no more please :) thanks on that cpu build post

I was under the understanding that flipping from gah to rmah was bannable. there's about 1000 threads on d3 forums of ppl banned for that, and llinked to the TOS. I'm sure ppl get away with it too for a while

That would be around 180$ then :) and then fee cut?

I rarely sell the gold. I invest the money into items to flip back for a 15% cut instead of the 30%. The only time I dump gold is when my RMAH is full on items.

after a few months of botting (and being there during the good times) you'll see why

shit gets old and even money doesnt make it much better - not to mention hardly anybody buys items from rmah these days - why would you when you can buy gold then the item for less of a price.

I'm guessing you're from the US. When I lived in Germany, utility costs were through the roof. I'm going to take a stab and say maximizing computer efficiency is key for their profit. Just because you can handle paying for 700w doesn't mean you need to, especially if you're able to cut that power cost by 50%+.

People still buy the GG items like hotcakes.

shit is more work than its worth ... i used to do item flipping like that all the time and trust me shit does NOT sell anywhere near as quick as it did. These days you have to undercut so much it makes me sick to my stomach. Guess if I needed this income to support myself I would look at it different, but its just a few extra hundred a month (best month was 4k) and I could really care less if it was 15-30% more.

I'll trust myself.. The items I'm flipping are selling just as quick as the gold. A 15% difference is definitely worth the difference when you're looking at items with values over $100 lol. As with any "investment", I'd prefer more money than less money :P. Me taking an extra couple hours out of my week to search for good deals is definitely worth the difference.

So to get back on topic with this thread. What other games have RMAH type deals where you can trade in your items for $$$?

the other guy totally hijacked the thread with 10accounts-life-story.

no other games have rmah... many games you can bot in but have to use third party sites to make your money.

lol come back to me when you have been botting for awhile... and leveling your toon months ago does not count

shit gets old and bending over to pick up pennies is not my style - i'll leave them for you

Not sure of any games that let you buy/sell items specifically, but trading in game currency for "money" (i.e. game cards) is a big thing with EVE. They're one of many companies wanting to get their lick in the virtual currency trade market.
