I remember that grinding gets you easy bans but i recently saw somebody post they decided to grind instead of quest because questing was getting targeted how true is this? i thought questing was pretty safe unless u get reported? and grinding was the no go.

I'm pretty sure the questing is still the better option. U aware?

As far as I'm concerned, questing is much safer than grinding. Atleast if we speak about over 8 hours per day.
It's impossible for Blizzard to track questing bot, and I'm pretty sure they are monitoring grinding somehow.

questing is relatively safe, i mean think about it, if blizzard tracks the pickups, objective completes, and turn ins, for 10 levels, its going to be obvious who is running a profile and who isnt, even more so if you track location data in with that. it looks like some of the more common profiles are being watched, but then again doing something simple every few levels like doing an instance, (even if you dont finish it) or some PVP, just to break up the routine, makes a nice little randomized blip in the data that could save you. that being said, there where some randomized stuff added for profile makers to use recently, that should help randomize the data even more, thus making the profile safe for hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people to use before blizzard picks up on the similarities in the data to ban people. its all server side data collection, and people noticing those patterns.

if you havent and are more interested, go watch the movie Freakonomics its on netflix, and it goes to show, that if you look at the data, its really obvious who's doing what.

Questing is safer (In a way)

The only problem with alot of questing profiles ATM (I can only speak for Horde)

Is there is NO fully AFK questing bot (Most of the time due to the profile, but alot of the time it's also a meshing issue) which will cause the bot to get stuck (Not good)

But anouther big problem is there is no questing profile for all classes that has 0 grinding. All the currently released profiles have ALOT of grinding (Again i only speak for horde) and this defeats the whole questing is safer when they spend more time grinding anyway

I would not say it would be impossible, say if they looked at a popular questing profile and analysed which quests were being done in which order and which being skipped they could probably get alot of people who were using the same profile doing exactly the same quests in the exact same order skipping on the exact same quests.I am not saying they would outright ban them but with a little investigating it would not be all that hard.

This is just a theory of course and nothing else but I wouldn't say it would be 'impossible' for Blizzard to do this.

unmonitored questing is account suicide. HB easily gets stuck/caught on/<insert other issue> on occasion during a questing session. There's a large amount of varied terrain for the bot to cover. I would never leave my bots unattended when questing. HB/HB2 - sure, but questing? never!

That said, if you do hang around and keep an eye on them, it looks far less bottish and is by far the preferred way to level a toon. There are some excellent questing profiles around already :)

I agree with this once they fix the mesh but it should be better i remember a couple of months ago it was the profiles fault most of the time not the Mesh's fault recently it has seemed to be getting suck on some pretty stupid things.

Every profile ive use (Horde/Alliance) It does love getting stuck on mailboxes :p No mr bot, you cannot walk threw it
