Archebuddy wont run, first timer here

Hello im trying to run archebuddy for the first time as I just purchased the 3 day trial to see if i can get it to work. I followed the detailed setup, i installed the 2 programs linked in the guide for microsoft.net and c++ redistributable. I dont have a firewall turned on at the moment. I created a sub folder and placed the updater inside of it. I rebooted my machine after installing the 2 updated programs. When I try to run the updater the program starts for a second and says connecting to server then just shuts it self down all within about 1 second.

I would post the logs but I cant find them anywhere, I'm posting this now but still looking for the logs folder, if i can find it ill post it.

windows 7 - 64 bit OS

does HB stand for Honorbuddy?

I dont even think i have a logs file because it never even installed the program, this Screenshot is as far as it will go. that connecting to server window will be up for about 1 second then just close itself

Move Updater (1) somewhere to C or D drive (for example D:\AB\Updater (1))
After this rename this file to Updater instead of Updater (1). And try launch it with admin privileges. Check also your firewalls\antiviruses, they can block AB

I moved the folder from the desktop to the C drive and now its working properly. hopefully its a smooth run from here on out... thanks for the help!
