You guys ever thought about trion sending random mails to ALL people, just to scare them?!
They doing their mind-games very well with you guys. They can smell the shit in your pants.
Botting is always dangerous, and if u cant deal with it, STOP IT and minimize the risk for people who are not scared little girls.
BTW im running 13 accounts with no proxy or VPN stuff, all on the same IP, and i didnt get any email. If u always creating 50 accounts and let them lvl up with the lvlning-plugin and then coming to forum "OMG AB DEAD GG I KILL MYSELF" its your own fault.
Ty for reading.
Sorry, you mean that you receive new warning today?SO initially I said I didn't get a warning, but I sure got it today, on my main. BUT to be fair, I did screw up like 3 days ago, where I had glyph open and signed in....so yea overall useless information...was just throwing it out. And before that, whenever I would open glyph and then switch to AB, I would close all processes opened by glyph, runtime broker, frame application..etc..took 0 risks, that could be why I didn't get a warning two days ago, cause I wasn't caught...till my recent screw up that is. Something worth testing
Sorry, you mean that you receive new warning today?
didn't happen to meSo Trion is installing spyware on our PC's now. Be carefull what is loaded in the background when you start AA, especially if it says "*****" in the process name.

Better to wait few days, i want to do tests itself. If all will be fine - i will push beta update for another few days.
My guess is they're using behavioral heuristics. They admitted as much in live stream and in their post, noting that they have been running it for weeks detecting bot behavior, not the presence of an actual program.
A bot is a program that repeats a series of steps under given circumstances. Their software simply monitors the circumstance and steps taken and flags it if suspicious activity is found. We find a hint at this in their forum post: "People turned to these programs for all sorts of uses. Sure, some people did quite malicious things with them, but others were using them to simply neatly and effectively arrange their farming plots, or were using them for some of the other types of tools they provided."
On the multiple account level, this seems pretty simple. We know they have the technology to associate accounts with one origin (user/owner) with each other, making it a matter of detecting repetitive behavior on more than one account happening simultaneously over a given period of time. Think planting/gathering on one account, trade run on another account, coin purse farming on another, and mining on a fourth, all happening at the same time. It should also go without saying that performing these functions for multiple hours per day, across multiple days would also be ill advised.
On a single account, detecting characters taking the same action(s), using the same paths, under the same circumstance, is a dead giveaway. Think trade pack run. While a bots exact starting spot may vary slightly, the path is nearly exactly the same every time. Repeating this behavior again and again over an extended period of time simply adds further evidence of "third party software."
Add to all of that AA's continued efforts to detect and defy third party software through more traditional proven methods of process/software detection and prevention, and you have a much more complex problem. In the end, heuristics doesn't strive to be perfect but only sufficient to "solve" that problem.
I'm not a coder, but for AB and programs like it to survive, I believe developers will need to rethink their products and how they are used in-game. While efforts to avoid detection of software "outside" the game need to continue, how programs are monitored in-game also need to become a major priority. AB may need to reconsider how they evaluate/approve plug-ins for their product based upon how they increase the likely detection of their product.
My thoughts. Yours?
No, I didn't get a warming initially. My first and only warning came about 2-3 days after they started sending out warnings. I accidentally logged into glyphs and ab at the same time the day before everyone else got warnings and so it must have taken them a day or two to process my info before they gave me a warning.Sorry, you mean that you receive new warning today?
I agree with you.
I´m sure stuff like Tradepack-Running with the same route and planting things in a perfect way is the easiest way they can get you, because its obviously and always the exact same. Very easy to trace.
Let me tell my story. I have 10+ accounts, just max 2 running at the same time for like 12 - 24 hours (coinpurse farming) - after that they have enough purses for a week, and the next group starts farming for 12 - 24 hours and so on ... that means 1 bot is just farming for a certain time and then just opening purses every 1 - 2 days for a whole week. I think thats a very good way to handle with current detecting situation.
I´m not having any problems with ban - last one was about 4 or 5 month ago.
first of all.. archeage GM's are not stupid. they are looking archebuddy.com daily ( becasue ab is most common bot ) & acting like archebuddy user in this forum. and they have professional programmers , developers that get a lot of pay. of course they have skills to find critical area of archebuddy.. i changed to secret bot program that are made by russian. ( need 3 recommendations from exist users.. ) it has different UI and shit but works almost same as archebuddy. ( but its autohotckey based.. with old ass image search shit.. no ez-to use one click gps.. ) whatever reason , AB is currently not safe. i been using this long time and made a lot. but lost almost half in past 2 months ( 47 / 71 ban )
so my recommendation is make AB private. and delete or force ppl not to use plugins that are too obvious looks like a bot.. such as quest bot..
Trion messed up with theyselfs, CM made a post today to inform people. IDK if i can post AA forum link here, but if u search in forum you will find it.So, I awake this morning to many emails from Trion. First one at 4.06am saying your accounts have been flagged for using 3rd party programs. Then almost two hour after that email, another one from Trion for all my accounts saying sorry this was a mistake. What on earth?
