Just got this today - A WARNING:

We’re sending this email to you today to let you know that we’ve noticed your Trion Worlds account making use of an unauthorized third-party program as you’ve played ArcheAge. This program could be an automated bot, a known *****ing program, or another program that may have given you an unfair advantage over other players.

We want you to know that this type of behavior is a violation of the terms of use you agreed to when you signed up to play the game. Please cease using these programs immediately or your account will receive a permanent ban from the game. For more information on this notification, please refer to this forum thread.

We value your patronage to our game, but keeping things fair for everyone in Erenor is always our top priority! Let’s work together to keep ArcheAge fun and competitive for everyone!

Bottings always risky.
Maybe they really detect AB somehow (but i always work on it and try to find any places where they can do that).
Or maybe they just ban now flagged accounts, that can be flagged few weeks ago, when AB was disabled for 3+ days

I received this warning on all accounts. Must be something new, or they delayed sending out mass warnings. I am friends with many botters and they received it today as well.
 
same here... just one warning but game work for now
 
I was not using AB at all when the bans occurred, thought once AB was fixed I starting using it again and I got the warning email today. Before this email, the account had never been flagged for any activity.
 
Previously, people really weren't getting substantial gains from this type of stuff -- we'd still catch them, it was just a matter of when. With our new security, we can be much faster and active on removing these types of players from the game.
 
I just recently came back to Archeage and have been using the bot for 3 days. Haven't gotten any warning etc. Could just have happened to flagged accounts.
 
To be fair, been botting without issue here either, but I watch my chars and logout as soon as I see a GM on my server. Only one char botting at a time tho, nothing extreme. I haven't logged in today though, unless 2 am counts.
 
Oh well It was nice while it lasted but paying for it then making u go to a buddy store to buy plugins was always a bit Of BS to me. I enjoy the game too much to be banned from it .I will just do it by hand and use bundles.I enjoyed Honorbuddy for years and WHAM!! PREMMA BAN. So ty AB for what small time I have used it although i would not say it was worth the $$$ I paid for it

Yea...i sorta just started a month or two ago, if its not usable anymore, I can't say it was worth the money i spent on ab and the plugins :/

No I don't think they're banning just flagged accounts. I made a new acc after AB updated (made it maybe 1 week ago) manually quested and all I used it for was the proxy setting in AB. Made in new browser and new PC with different IP. Banned.

You never login this account with glyph? Only with AB? Never, never?
 
haven't got any emails about or like this here. I don't bot a lot but some for things i can't do manual for various reasons. But I did manually lvl a char and it got banned for no apparent reason none of my others have got msg or anything from them about botting. I think all of them got flagged once a long time ago or at least over a few months ago i think it was. Someone probably reported whoever op is and some others and thats why the warnings. since when do they send out warnings if they actually catch you using 3rd party programs? Usually its a ban that sometimes gets reversed if you complain etc?
I don't think ab is dead at all i think people are getting caught somehow other then ab being detected without being reported ie someone seen you to make it happen or have them check your acc. as apposed to ab being detected just from normal use. After they are reported then maybe they look at logs and know your using it or something but highly doubt they have something to auto detect in place on there servers. Figure how many players they have online at once and how much resources it would take to even implement that? Now if there was a rootkit or something they put on your computer to detect it then maybe because then its client side detection not server side. Anyway thats my opinion and i could be wrong but still need to be careful how and when you use ab.
I think they may detect proxies though and will ban or warn for that ie if you are on a proxie and they know its an ip from a proxy they probably give warning as that is against tos and they can call that a 3rd party program i think and eventually ban for that.

Again my opinion only on all this.

Never was reported. Only used scarecrow at dead hours.
 
dead hours but did a gm see you? were you watching it to know if a gm seen you? just because you never got flagged doesn't mean you weren't reported or that a gm may have happened by. But who knows. can't see it being detection from being on with ab or everyone would have got the emails or banned though wouldn't they?

had GM notifications on and radar.
 
I received the EMails as well, for both accounts, both patron, both logging on with Archebuddy for convenience, only one really botting (farmer) the other just using it for smaller plugins like loyalty token collecter, mailbox etc.
Never used Archebuddy when it was "hot" some weeks ago.

So it looks like some sort of detection at least
