ArcheAge on VMWare - launching issues

Preparation I've done beforehand:
-Set VMX values to:
-isolation.tools.getPtrLocation.disable = "FALSE"
-isolation.tools.setPtrLocation.disable = "FALSE"
-isolation.tools.setVersion.disable = "FALSE"
-isolation.tools.getVersion.disable = "FALSE"
-monitor_control.restrict_backdoor = "true"
-Edited reg values properly inside of the VM.

When attempting to launch the game via the account manager:
-Hackshield beings to load
-Hackshield successfully loads
-Game client initializes itself
-Game client/hackshield crashes
-Redirected to Glyph support center (the Hackshield crash article)

Has anyone experienced these same issues while following the same or similar directions?

Same. I turned off the VM tools but I still have a VPN client running. Wondering if that is it..
