Does this work well on level 45s? And is it beneficial to them, or is a flying mount practically required?

Just to save yourself the headache i wouldnt mess with it till you get to 85 and have a flyer 280% min. If not then you will die a lot and you will have to babysit it to find out what dig sites to black list at your lvl and that will be alot of them.

I disagree. Start the bot at level 60, when you get flying mount and the Azeroth license. The game won't spawn digs in areas above your level, so any mobs you encounter are easily dispatched. I have leveled from 60 to 68 on 5 toons this way with zero deaths total. Paladin and Frost DK work best for mount speed, but Unholy DK, Hunter and Demonology warlock are all viable because the pet adds a strong survivability component if/when you become stuck or otherwise frozen in combat as mobs whittle away at you... If you go hunter choose dwarf and get Pathfinding... enjoy
 
My toons still wont land when attacked, or if they get attacked after they summon flymount it will just stay mid air dieing.
 
how to blacklist a dig site? cause i keep dying in the grim batol one and its driving me crazy

while you are on AB mode hit the bot settings button and you will see all the options

<Hotspot X="-4685.191" Y="-5179.44" Z="124.5227" /> at one of the digsites in Twilight Highlands.

This is where my digsite was, but the bot kept getting close but avoiding it. Had to manually sort that one out.

Even after update, came back to have a new spot in which it hit an invisible wall in Northern, Western plaguelands (?when the digsite was in EPL?), After restarting AB it was fixed.
 
I know you can blacklist dig sites, I've gone ahead and done that but when I fly over a cata site and all 3 digsites in the area are blacklisted, it ignores one on the blacklist and proceeds to take my poor character to slaughter. I realize I should have kept archaeology around 450 but it's too late to go back, I went to 525 like an idiot.

Any way to avoid the Cata sites now?
