ArchaeologyBuddy - An Archaeology Bot

Yeah I've been running this for about 15m so far on 2 different computers, both in EK. When near a lake the bot has descended to the bottom of the lake and seems to get stuck there. If I weren't watching it it probably would have drowned the characters.

Also movement around the dig sites seems really strange, it does a lot of short little hops on the flying mount and sort of moves back and forth with no real purpose...

Same thing is happening to me, the movements are very twitchy, and it keeps doing weird things like auto running in circles in the air, and it eventually crashed because it was auto running around and around the spot it was trying to get to, log has been attached.

There is something very buggy with the flying indeed... Mine also hops around strangely, and now it's hit the top skybox and tries to get through it.
 
The only thing that jumps out at me when looking at my log is the following line:

[4:48:57 PM:423] Flushing timed movement. Direction: JumpAscend

I don't know exactly how the bot works but it seems to be having trouble with changing its altitude. It dives into water and gets stuck there and sometime when traveling around the dig site or in between sites it will go down to the ground and hop around in circles and act very twitchy as described above.

Bummer because when it was working it was able to navigate the sites that I had previously blacklisted in the last version.
 
it's not just AB its whole HB core itself, try other profiles they do the same.
 
Mine just hovers very high above just before the digsite still i can manually drop it and have it work, but then hovers above the digsite again. :(..... same thing as last version. i am using newest HB and Arc
 
Mine flies as normal, does everything very good. but after a digsite it doesn't ascend, it "tries" to ascend, but "something" forces it down on the ground again. The only useful thing in the log is this:
Flushing timed movement. Direction: JumpAscend
 
40 pages is a bit of TLDR for me, but I was just running the beta over night and I run into an issue. Some times my char stops flying and just hovers there. Last night it hovered for 6+ hours doing nothing, as soon as my chars feet touched the ground though it went straight back into botting as usual.

I have just updated to the latest arch buddy and honor buddy so I will run it while I am at work and see if I still encounter the same problem.

Unfortunately... HB doesnt seem to load the new AB ...
 
Funnily enough despite that changelog and the other odd behavior described above, I also noticed it still hovered above sites sometimes when it didn't really do that in the previous version.

I wonder if this stuff gets tested before release? The way it is working right now is pretty bad D:
 
I wish you didn't update the string versions so quickly....

Problem is, new HB doesn't work properly (I shouldn't be surprised) it gets 'stuck' after finishing one dig site as it tries to navigate to next. Looks incredibly bot-like when you're on a flying mount mashing your nose into the ground.
I've tried changing just the string version, but that didn't seem to have worked, perhaps you've also edited the .DLL?

Oh well, I guess we'll have to wait for another bug fix...

Testing this some more, doesn't seem to always happen, but still occurs a little too frequently for my liking. Also I noticed that now it seems to 'bunny-hop' a lot more. Both issues are likely to be HB specific, but the point I am trying to make is, may be do not always force us to use the latest version of HB when there are bugs like that that make us a lot more detectable to the naked eye.

Haha it's no problem mate =) Just update to latest one, but be ware - there have been some issues with this latest release. I'd hold off before using it =)
 
this release works. well.. it does not.

tries to fly underground, in the ground
hovers on digsites
flys in circles
