Archaeology lvling questions

So I've read about ppl lvling with archaeology. So I decided to try it out myself on my 70dk, I get about 120-150k xp/h and was wondering if that's ok or if it's too little? Also I got the tempfix and as well epic flying (not 310%).
How much xp/h do you guys get using archaeology and at what lvl?
 
My hunter is now 84 and is getting with Archelogy around 650K/h unrested (actually on Northrend) - I did it before in Mixed Mode with BG bot and got around 400k/h unrested :)

PS: On which continent are you? Lower lvl digsites doesn't give much experience. I would suggest you move to Northrend after reaching 350 in archelogy.
 
Mixed Mode, what lvl were you at then? I am currently lvling in kalimdor (165 skill), should I move on to outland asap, or wait in kalimdor til I get 350 and then go straight to northrend?
 
do northrend digsites really give more xp? thought every digsite gave the same fixed % of xp..
 
yeah they all give the same exp for me
atm at 79 around 7350 per thing found ( digsite? node? )
 
What level do you switch to Outland, and then Northrend?

And at lvl 450 arch level, would you go Kalimdor for Uldum nodes or?
 
I read somewhere that all digsites award the same amount of XP. Also that this amount of XP is a percentage of your total XP (meaning the amount gained will scale with your actual leveling and not your archaeology skill). Don't hang me up on this - I just read it somewhere, and I might remember wrong as well.. :D

i can add that heirlooms , guild perks and rested all increase the gained exp
 
Exp from archaeology depends ONLY on what level you are. And it's really good exp. A good questing profile may be competitive, but none are as reliable as AB. I did this from 70-85 stopping only a few times to get gear upgrades (e.g. hyjal upgrades)

Once you hit 70, get a flying mount with 280% speed and do non-stop arch imo. The gold income is decent, you almost never die (except going to dig sites that are too high of a level), you have a chance for some nice BoA epics, and not around ppl enough to get reported/whispered.

Only issue the bot getting stuck near ocean fatigue walls. There are some new plugins that help ameliorate that though.
 
It looks like ~9 days of botting between 8-12hrs a day. I tried a few questing profiles in there too since it's my first leveling bot. I didn't have the AB anti-stuck plugin either. But I definitely was monitoring all my exp/hour for each different profile type and AB or mixed mode AB/IB were the best.
 
it averages at 5h/level, doesnt increase that much in higher level regions.
