i found this on wowhead is it posoble to go to the dig site and then take 2 readings x distance from each other like below but use the mesh to find the location if the game outputs derection acuretly it may be easy to farm

1. Walk sideways from the direction the surveyor is pointing
2. Pan the camera and line the surveyor up with the upper edge of the screen, this gives your first vector.
3. Survey from your new position, holding the camera still so as not to lose the first vector.
4. X marks the spot! Just walk in the direction the surveyor is pointing until you cross your first vector (pointing out the intersection with your mouse before you start moving is a good idea).

Its not that simple the survey thing seem to take into account terrain and steers you around stuff; would work well on a flat surface tho.

well it would still work with stairs it would just go to the center of them and repeat

Hmm, But then still HB needs to figure out the mechanism of the the survey. I think it will be hard, i have been trying to figure out how to make HB "look" at the pointer, but it seems (for me) impossible. But im not t he biggest coder.
