One hander + shield will get you more GF, a 2 hander speeds up your runs so also get you gold. If the 2-hander speeds up your run by 10% I guess it's better than a +goldfind shield.
I think I nailed the way Barbs have to kill sarkoth, avaraging at 350 gph with only 237 Gf. He pretty much sprints towards the cellar and clears it within a couple of seconds. Each run takes about 35 s.
Use a slow one-hander, so earthquake hits like a truck. Using a 2-hander works even better dps-wise but you'll miss out on some gold find. On the AH the gold find pieces with only strength aren't very expensive. Or I was lucky. The gear has cost about 1,5 million total. Downside of this cheap gear is low HP but that doesn't matter I hardly get hit.
HP: 16k
Dps: 13500, slow weapon and +critdamage

1: Get rage to run, using
War Cry + Charge rune. You need this rage for sprint. Dont waste it on Battle rage
2: Run fast with
sprint + gangway to knock back any mob who tries to bother you. This is funny as hell!
3:
Leap + death from above to stun them in place for the earthquake
4:
Earthquake + mountain's call. This kills them 90% of the time. (2000% weapon damage

)
5:
Ground stomp + wrenching smash pulls them to the center of earthquake and stuns them some more.
6:
Cleave + gathering storm. Will slow down and kill Sarkoth (in case he somehow survives the earthquake...)
Passives:
Weapons master, Ruthless, Tough as nails (needed the defence since my HP is low)
Also:
Using the awesome Mammon all-in-one routine. I guess the new "default" one will use these skills nicely as well.

And offcourse the Enchantress, transforming the mobs into chickens in case the cellar is not there and the demonbuddy wants to teleport back to town early.
