Anyone running 10+bots (what is your cpu temp?)

So.. I ended up getting a noctua heatsink, was a pain in the ass to install in my small case, lol. Also swapped all of my case fans with scythe gentle typhoon's. Sitting at under 50c with 10 bots. This is still using intel HD graphics..

My goal is 20 bots (if hellbuddy is ever back online, i dont think 20 bots is possible with DB with a 4 core), and eventually a dedicated GPU, so we'll see if I can keep the temps the same or lower.

Why? Proper air cooling does just fine for me.

i7 3770k @ 5.3ghz on air. Rarely go above 45C.

Do you mean Idle or on load?
how many bots you running and what is ambient temp? What is the load temp when running bots?

which cooler?

Hi,

How Do you guys run more then 1 D3 on a computer? Do you have to make VM's and install D3 on them? Or is there a trick to run more then 1 D3 on your computer? Please Advise Thanks!

I think it's just a matter of what pleases you. If you want to spend extra money on cooling because keeping your CPU at 35 makes you happy, that's great. For some of us, though, this is business, and it's about dollars per bot.

If I can build a machine that runs 10 bots for $500, and it runs at 65 degrees (perfectly safe), why would I put in another hundred dollars to make it cooler?

Since I personally like overclocking my machines, I would aim for the cooling I need for a reasonable overclock that allowed me to run more instances. I think that an inexpensive aftermarket air cooler is the most cost effective way to do that.

Edit: by inexpensive, I mean sub $50, not some all aluminum 60mm junk. I run a 120mm true spirit.
