Anyone ended up with debts because of New PC Purchases and Bans? I hope not.

No, botting isnt forbidden by law, as well as any other form of cheating in online games, so this is legal buisness.

this guy is correct. it is perfectly legal.

eula is not a law, it is an agreement and it can be written in such a way that it violates the law which makes it worth even less.

Was seeing all those "Which PC to buy" threads recently.

I seriously hope that no one actually borrowed real $ to buy PCs and CDkeys and got themselves in debt because of the bans. The financial crisis in Europe isn't getting any better. Getting deeper into debt because of the bans isn't really worth it. Getting involved with debt-collectors hounding you 24/7 is no joke, really.

I bought 2 new i5 computers, spend ~1600 euros, in process of bying accounts, bot for life ! :D
Btw botting is not illegal lol, who came up with that ?

what happens is people confuse "against the rules" with "against the law"

i think the most of us got some new goodies bought by all those fat kids playin legit this game.... we shoulda thank them ;)

It depends on a country but if a) its not outlawed to make money from games (which is in Korea for an example) b) its not outlawed to cheat in computer games, then logically, botting for money is legal as long as u pay taxes. Thing is that most countries simply doesnt view violation of eula as crime, excluding piracy. Besides, its also logical to assume that if blizzard could sue for botting, they would, just to make an example to scare of ppl.

I'm going based strictly off U.S. law. Oh, and the arm of Blizzard extends past the U.S. as well. If other countries didn't view these violations as against the law, Bossland GmbH would have crushed his legal battle a long, long time ago.
