I'm just wondering, not that I have but if you ever transferred gold or items from your bots to your main with no intentions to sell anything could you get it banned? Does blizzard only ban accounts that are directly involved with botting? Have any of you had a non botting/gold selling account banned that might have been on the same IP address? From what I understand with WoW they only ban that license that was botting even if you have multi WoW accounts on one battle.net. Any info on this would be appreciated.

From what I've heard, is when they ban you. They also tag where that characters items went, so they might not ban your main account. But they most certainly may remove it's items.

I wonder how long they keep their logs for those sorts of things. I would think it wouldn't be longer than a month. Meaning that if you did in the past transfer items/goods and were banned 6 months from then than you wouldn't think they would have that information. But who knows.

i bot on my main i dont give a shit. i am currently botting 2 toons to 100 and if they get banned oh well, if not then awesome. but im stopping once they hit 100.

This is pretty much the attitude you got to have to become a successful botter, the truth is that all bots eventually can get banned no matter how good you are at hiding it's gonna happen and can happen for 100s of different reasons. You just have to be prepared to let the bot go, there have been times in which people's mules got banned along with their bots in which the mule never botted, I believe the vice versa is also true.

It's kind of the wild life we live as botters, similar to other outlaws we can die at any moment but are the risks worth the rewards? well that is up to you to decide.

botting is fun because of the fact that you can get banned. imagine you couldnt? everyone would do this and there would be no market. when it comes to diablo 3, seeing how far I go is how I play the game. and the feeling of starting over is not even bad, I like it lol. never been banned without making initial investment back though so if that ever happens yea that sucks.
