I am wondering which is the best class to (possibly) bot with, considering the recent changes.
Last night, i bought another D3 key to DB with :( <-Figured id take this unfortunate down-time to manually level up a toon for the anticipated re-release.
Anyone fully aware with the changes with 1.0.3 and how classes are effected (for our purpose)?
--Is any class foreseeing trumping others for unattended use?
--Since GF and MF are ~somewhat nerfed, does the choice of class effect the future market?
--Anyone using another bot that has positive/negative effects with their particular class of choice with 1.0.3?

I still think DH will be best for Gold Farming. However, I bet with the changed to drop rules that if someone could come up with a full act clearing script that running a Monk or Barb through act 2 or 3 might result in some seriously valuable items (and a fair amount of gold). but you would prob have to spend 20-50mill per bot to get them the gear needed to run through those acts with a fair amount of base MF (and a good Default Item Rule set).

TBH this sounds like too much work for how much it would dish out. It would have to be finding some sick gear all the time to pay itself off and you would have to go through the trouble of selling said gear. It has potential but in my opinion it would be a waste of time

Well actually all of them are pretty bad at it, seeing as the bot isn't working for the time being. Ranged classes will forever have the advantage, and I won't change my DH opinion unless something significant happens.

DH by far, i run many of each class and my demon hunters are still over 500k/h in core but rest are 350-390k

I've run act 1 3-4 times and have found 6 level 63 items. Granted the stats weren't that grate I still got 500k+ for them. And since I play a barb I just get the champ/elite together, pop cds and lawl. there are very VERY few things that can kill me if I am half paying attention and using revenge on CD.

I don't even have to kill everything on the way either, I can ignore everything except the elite/champs, loot, and move on. Granted this is for gear farming not gold farming but I don't know any DH in their current builds that can simply run past and chain 20+mobs.

I'm with MnM, DH for gold farming and barb for equipment farming.

My barb has about 15m worth of gear and he just laughs at most shit in act 2 solo. Act 3 is another story, but doable i have to pump my physical resist over 1k and all resist over 800-900 before that becomes easy and up my damage.

My barbs act 1 MF set now has 250 MF 220 GF 15k Damage he makes butcher his bitch with wrath of the berserker, frenzy damage bonus, battle rage and call of the ancients. He goes over 60k damage for 15s.

yah, the part about selling on AH is a tad annoying. But really u just need 1 or 2 good items to make the day worth it. before I was botting (and even still) I had been farming Act 3 Inferno (Get 5 Stacks of Neph on my DH and kill Siege Breaker). I would easily clear 8-12mill on my average day (probably do it for about 10hrs). Sometimes u get lucky and can make even more. Was farming Act 3 Inferno from the Cellar (Dungeon area, forgot the name) all the way through to kill azmodain with 1 of my friends, we both swap to 300+ MF gear right before we kill Elites and we both made 30mill plus in under 7hrs (I wont lie though, a bit of a lucky run with A tyrael's armor i sold for 15 and a Nat's Ammy he also sold for around 15mill).

So that is why I am thinking that a Barb Bot with maybe 150ish+ Base MF could really do well farming Act 3 for maybe 14-20hrs straight. Probably get 10-40mill per day, but it would always have a pretty large fluctuation depending on items. Get lucky and pick up a 1k dps 1h and u just made 30-50mill (depending on stats).

I would imagine Gear good enough for a barb to do act 3 solo (as a bot) from close to the start to finish would probably cost about 50-100mill. I plan on testing it as soon as we get a bot that can quest through Act 3 Inferno. Till then, ill keep manual farming Act 3 Inferno and keep my DH bots on Sarkoth for 500k an hr.

On Official Blizzard Forums:
- Every DH and Wiz are crying on 40% to 60%??? DPS Loss
- Barbs are laughing
- Monks still the same

Blizzard is known to nerf botting classes (cough cough Paladins in WoW). So I won't be surprised if things got worse for DH in 1.04.
