So how is everyone doing today. Best of luck to everyone.
Installing 1.0.8.16416 patch now.
Been botting 1 account steady before patch, now lets see if any bans come.
Just wanna get the ball rolling and surf the wave as it may come today or soon.
Not banned as of last night and ill confirm after servers are back up.
Anyone plan on running bots today??? Big Question.

also is this the proper place to make a thread of this topic? ty :cool:
 
Better don't run any bot's till dev's release the version of DB for 1.0.8. Would be pretty suspicious if you identify your unids one by one still.
 
there will always be shitloads of botters who will create countless threads on forums like "OMG bot doesn't work, what's wrong?".

And of course they try to launch db lots of time after the patcheday, but damn, it crashes all the time. Arghhhh...
 
No ban on my 5 accounts

None of my accounts got banned just to let everyone know 0/5.

Hope everyone else has the same luck
 
I didn't get banned but my account was flagged for suspicious in-game activity which caused me to change my password. At first I thought it was referring to the fact that I am using a poxy in a different country but it said in game activity. I am only botting one account and no more than 8 hours a day. Honestly think my max was 5 hours and it wasn't even non stop. I'd stop to do AH and what not in between. Any ideas of what I could do to not be flagged or is this nothing to be worried about?
 
honestly if they "were" watching you, they know you were botting and u will be banned right away.
if they really take the time to look at your log. they will know.
so no. until you do get banned just try and play it safe but using your gut
on when to change up your profiles and when to take breaks and look for repetitive things in your runs
that can be changed to not so repetitive. like always teleporting out at the same spot every time as i dealt with in COTA profile.
some say 24/7 compared to 5 hours doesnt matter. logged in im sure it doesnt but playing 24/7 im sure does.
at least its a def ban if they see you havent stopped running at all ever. xD
I probably had to do with a security measure if you had to change ur pass/w
do you have an authenticator? if not. get one either on android or iphone. or buy a keychain one.

p.s. i botted pretty much all last week. i was as safe as i could be and was monitoring the whole time. i even played
mp10 COTA runs in a group with 2 other as my bot and i was party leader. they had no clue lol as long as i kept the chat alive. they were bout as fast at teleporting as the bot.
took plenty of breaks and did it on and off from 6am-1 or 2am every day. prob average of 12hrs a day.

Thanks for the advice, I change up what character I am on and what runs I do. Sometimes i'll use a grinding profile and if I level ill try to quest again. I only grind if I cant make it through the quest chain as I am so I think thats different maybe then a few botters? I setup to pickup items as well so I think since it does a town run when I am full it helps because Its not set to teleport at a specific area just whenever I am full. I dont have a authenticator because I read botting under a ***** was a good idea to say I was hacked if I got banned but if I have an authenticator wont that kinda show that its unlikely that I was hacked and I was just using a *****? It does make me feel better, I don't usually AFK my bot honestly. I am always checking up on it when on the computer or even my ipad with teamviewer to make sure its not stuck etc. I thought botting with other people in the game was a bad idea? So it's not?
 
ok so i think that the problem was that someone tried to access you account and tried a bunch of times. (tis why the password reset)
due to no authenticator, its fairly easy for others to get your account. lucky they didnt succeed
blizz is def not the only one who makes users reset after this ex. yahoo mail and others
botting in a group is stupid, yes
but botting with 2 people you regularly play with
on a run that you always do with them anyway
is just fun to see if they notice xD
but NEVER bot in public games
only if the person you are in game with knows whats up or if they are just following u everywhere and are to dumb to know what to look for.
also the way i see it
if i always do runs with and without those guys anyway then the same runs shouldnt make me look suspicious unless im flagged
thats why public or group games are bad
the risk of being flagged as a botter.
i have yet to use a diff character to bot with btw. solid on monk

Reading about your strategies how to not get banned I've remembered one thing you need to set in options (it's posted somewhere here I think but couldn't find it right away).
Make sure you have disabled option that enables your friends to join game you are in. Bot does not like having people in party while creating game (at least that was accurate in december) and can cause D3 to quit with critical error.
From a fact I know that my friend got banned for this (99% sure) because someone from his friendlist was joining games started by bot.
 
that is a great tip and a DEFINITE MUST. i always keep mine turned off anyway.
when i was party leader and they were already in party, i would start the game.
and i have my breaks set up so human-like its crazy. enough to where i could run it 24/7
and it would still have the routine of a average gamer.
but i DO NOT recommend multiplayer on bot ever. unless you want to see if they can tell
if your running a bot xD.

have to say that they did put a ton of man hours into the hack gold dupe. SO we might be under the radar for a little longer, so someone come up with a new hack so we can go another patch.
 
been botting all day everyday for past 4 days on 1 bot. minus about 5-7 (sleep timer) hours a day. ive also been botting the same run over and over the whole time. trying for para 100 then gon quit. but so far so good. botted like a mofo before 1.0.8 tho.
mostly cota mp8 at 47.5m-55m exp/hr
