I was wondering about this too. Normally before it would say on the list of servers that they're "offline" but now it just says "Unable to Connect".

Hm.

The new features revolved around Battle.net -- and the track record with Battlenet and new functionality is pretty shitty, so it doesn't surprise me that the authentication servers went down because they royally screwed something up.
