Hi guys any1 of you were using
GOODRAM THUNDER DISC SSD 120GB 2.5 550/530 MB/s ?
Or shall I buy:
Samsung 840 Series 120GB ? or 830 Series? or 840 PRO (srsly its worth for normal windows user)
Kingston 2.5" SSDNow V300 120GB (Serial ATA 3) 7mm
Intel SSD/330 MLC 2,5 120GB ?
Plextor M5S 128 GB
Crucial M4 128 GB

A lot of tests and a lot of bull-sh-it-s so dunno what I shall pick :> any help ?
im a normaln windows user SSD going to use for windows db, d3 any some progrs maybe photoshop.

The amount of writing done by demonbuddy will kill your harddrive at a faster pace. I'd leave that program on hdd.

Between the Samsung, I'd either go with the 840 or 840 PRO. The 830 is on the same price range as the 840 and is an older model. The 840 is faster than the 830 and more reliable. The difference between the 840 vs Pro is the speed, if you care about load time and have the extra dough to spend get it.
NOTE: If you truly say you're only going to be running ps, d3 & windows the 840 is fast enough.

I'd rule out the Crucial M4, it's old, slower and the samsung series are just as reliable.

The Intel 330 is a bit more expensive and on par with the 840. IIRC, the intel isn't as good at encryptions & compression compared to the SF controllers.

As for Kingston & Plextor, I haven't bother looking at them so I cannot give you my input

Look up benchmarks and you will find that OCZ Vertex4 128GB are the best right now (at lest they were when i was buying ssd in november). What is more they come with the rails so you can install ssd in older comp case.

if you insist on samsung than buy 830, 840 is inferior.
 
OCZ Vertex4, Plextor M5 Pro or Samsung 830, all is a good choice see on the price.
 
830 series is an older platform abit isnt 840 series r better choice?
im wondering why the 830 and 840 series have so lowe write rate (~130)
and others one r 450+
Im realy close to choice Plextor and benchmarks saying thats a good choice but realy i didnt heard nothing bout it ;-)
all r recomending 830 / 840 series of samsung and the plextors r cheapests (in my country) than 830 / 840 so srsly i dont know ;-)
any comments bout Goodram SSD's ? Benchmarks shows that readrate r realy nice but the write one is an - side of them.
 
I would get either Samsung 830 or 840 pro, Crucial M4, or a Intel SSD.
 
Crucial (a bit cheaper) or Intel. They are both on top. Samsung is also ok, but. In german we say "Sollbruchstellen", so dunno if predetermined breakings points are correct ;) But it means, nearly every device of samsung will be broke right after the 2 years warranty. Thats a fact.

OZC is the worst you can buy. I had 3 ssds in the past, everyone was broken between 3 months. You can read the same experience everythere.

I go in every of my 23 PC's with crucial. Never had any trouble with them and they extremly fast.
 
Kingston V300 gives you the best bang for the buck (should be cheaper than any of those mentioned and certainly on par with performance).
Samsung 830 is a fine choice also, if priced right. 840 (non pro) isnt all that. The 840 pro is a good drive, but overpriced.
Intel 330 is nothing spectacular at all.
Plextor is a fine drive, bit pricey.
Crucial M4 used to be one of the best performing disks (now outperformed by other models).

Good to know that any SSd will obliterate any normal HDD< so if you dont have one yet its going to be a performance boost for sure, regardless the brand/model.

Yes, I am using the Kingston V300 120gb too. Seems to be working flawlessly. My first SSD, haven't try others so i cant compare. Was gonna get M4 crucial or intel but the technician at the shop recommended the Kingston.
 
well prices of kingston, plextor , samsung 830 and 840 are nearly same so I can get one of them ;-) so what the final choice should be? ;-)

I bet on Kingston SSDNow V300 is that good ? ;-)
