Another "Bot for a living" thread....

I've seen a few of these threads come and go, but rather than revive an old thread with new questions I figured I'd start a new one. I've got a job, however with the weather being the way it has been all winter here, I get laid off here and there (I basically build stuff outdoors). Just looking for something that'll keep me busy a bit, and hopefully pull in a bit of extra money every month, or at the least earn enough that I can play a few accounts for free.

First off, how many bots should I run? I've got a laptop and older desktop that can both run at least 2-3 bots if needed (I've never tested any more than that) and a little bit newer computer that's got a 2.9GHz dual core processor+6gigs of ram and a decent video card running on windows7 64bit. If possible I'd like to keep the botting to the better desktop or possibly both, so I can still use my laptop whenever and take it with me and crap.

Also looking for random tips-Bot lots of characters up and RAF the accounts or buy at least a few accounts to gather on? If so is there any websited that are better for buying accounts vs. others? I was thinking about trying craigslist, seem to be lots of locals that are afraid to sell online due to fear of being scammed. Any advice you all could throw my way would be great

level them up to 80 yourself, it saves you lots of cash and with raf it doesnt take that long (1.6 weeks to lvl 80 is what i've read)
and then just gather a lot with them 80's sell the raw mats in bulk for gold, and sell that gold to goldsellers

Thanks for the input =) As of now I'll planning on trying to establish a bit of a client list of buyers so I can cut out the middle cost. I only plan on having a few chars per server so I won't be needing to move a whole lot. But then again I'm really not sure what to expect as far as gold per day on each account using GB.
