Hello,

today i woke up at the morning unable to sleep so i went down to my computer and started playing manualy (i do not bot recently much as i think there is some link between recent crashes / strange bahavior and bans).

When playing manualy on win7 fullscreen window mode suddenly for very small amount of time main panel (i suppose in english taskbar) showed up and then dissapered. Normaly when you press win key taskbar shows with start menu.. no menu this time. I stopped playing and started wondering -> bot has flag -> make diablo believe its in foreground -> how does it work exactly?.
Could be programaticaly made new GM command check player -> it makes diablo windows to go in backgroud (poping up taskbar) and client replies -> im in bacground. If client still believes that in foreground -> bot, BAN. :) (im not windows programmer so some can say its impossible.. this is just a construct).

Or another teory - there is definitely option to take screenshot implemented within game what if -> client window is pushed to background->screenshot is then taken (with taskbar overlapping diablo screen) and sent to bliz (this is still working only with diablo process)-> then on taskbar there is beutiful icon of demonbuddy (and bliz have eveidence that forbidden third party was used).

This would somehow explain strange banning pattern. Here i would be interested in what modes normaly not banned db users run the client..

Nah, if Blizzard would go for this kind of behavior they would hit to many legit players with annoyance. It was probably your windows updater or something like that forcing itself to foreground for a sec :)

Its fairly obvious with the banwaves and how changes in DB behavior effect bans, that Blizzard's only way of detecting bots is through bot behavior in-game. How the bot picks up items, makes games, moves, stuff like that. Blizzard is, believe it or not, fairly limited in how they can combat bots, as they don't want to intrude or piss off costumers. Your theories, if true, would destroy the company.

you are saying: blz made a hack program inside D3 to contral player's system.

I laughed. Thanks OP, you made my day.

search on ban sections and you will find many threads about theories
