Pools can run out in that lake if you only farm there, going down the waterfall and following the river for a bit is helpful. I've been playing with a profile that does that, it mostly works, but at times decides to nosedive into the ground rather than flying out and over the waterfall, I thought it was detecting pools at the bottom of the waterfall too early, so I reduced the pool range to 80 yds, still had problems at times though.

somehow cant get it to work: it moves to to school and does nothing
activity is stuck at [01:54:52:696] Activity: Moving to Highland Guppy School


ok it works now, but he keeps standing still if there is no pool in range instead of running to another hotspot

I've fished for 10 hours there and the pools never run out. Did you do all the quests in that area? Pools are affected by phasing.

Remember, due to a bug in AA not interacting properly with HB that we can't figure out how to fix, if you stop the bot to load another profile, you'll have to close it down completely and restart it.

I've been bashing my head on the desk over this.

I'm wanting to get the 10,000 fish achievement for my guild and have hand-done 2,000 and now hate wow. (heh)

I'm trying to find out how to use this, I am not a lifetimer, so I will be rocking the ground mount ground mount/walking.

I have downloaded the addon but for the life of me cannot get it to work, anyway someone cuold make a guide of some sort on exactly HOW to get it up and running?

No, I haven't, but if other people are fishing on that map, they could be sending pools your way, as long as there are more possible spawn locations for pools on the rest of the map than in the limited area you are in (and provided noone is sending any back to you), it IS possible to run out. Mind, I dont usually run out, I've only had it happen once or twice out of thousands of catches there.
 
@scrawl I just finished that achievement for my guild, I fished in northrend at the lake at the top of Howling Fjord using one of Kick's old profiles. The lake is barren of players and respawns really fast. I averaged about 120 "fish ups" an hour. Hope this helps :)
 
Alright. I keep getting this.

I finally got the bot to actually run and do the fishing holes and etc, but every couple minutes I get this

ThreadAbortException caught inside.
ThreadAbortException caught outside.
Session is expired!

What gives?

I've created my own profile that works great for a while, but every once in a while it will stop landing and fishing and throw this in the log:

Hand out the full log, I guess, there's too many variables and I've never seen that error myself (while I afk-ed for hours)
 
Attached both the Log window and the Debug log window -- the quickest way I've found to make the bot continue if this is thrown is to dismount.

One more question. I used this today for the Stranglethorn fishing tournament, and it didnt recognize any tasty fish schools. Is this normal or did I do something wrong. It fished fine up until time for the schools to change over
 
Got a few questions as I cant get it working.. I have disabled all other plugins, using grindbot and choosen znuffie's uldum profile. But its just runs thro whole profile and then do it again and again without stoping and cast out in any pools it flys thro..
So my questions is:
1. What "bot" should I choose
2. Any other plugins needed
3. any other special settings to do?
4. Wouldnt it be good if you znuffie started a new thread and posted your updates in the first thread so we dont have too look thru all 10 pages to find the newest version in the middle of it ? :)

Never tried it, to be honest, but it should detect the fishing pools automatically. Unfortunatelly it's kind of hard for me to test that.

2. No
3. No. Defaults are fine for everybody.
4. Not an attention whore and I don't care about "forum recognition" or whatever. Also, I don't/won't support this forever, I'll just throw a quick look every now and then and maybe help people with it. If my time (and mood) allows me, I will also add new stuff as I see fit, and if it breaks, I'll try my best to fix it. That's it.

Those logs don't seem to match.

what do you mean they don't match? I pasted them right out of the bots log windows, i'll do it again after i run it later then, strange.
 
I don't need them PASTED. I need the file in the Logs directory.
 
im trying to use AA i downloaded it form its thread but it dosent pop up in the plugins :( help anyone

I fixed this by re-enabling using water walking potions from plugin settings which i disabled before using the profiles and it got fixed, i hope it works for you too.
