Not worth anual pass on wow really. Honestly lots of people will be leaving to d3 or swtor. When they come out wow players are going to drop like flies.

People say that about every game that comes out. People were raving about how great Rift was going to be and how many WoW players would leave for it. A lot of my friends came back to WoW.

In any event, it is worth it if YOU are going to play for the year. I could care less really if other people play for the year. If you play and enjoy yourself for that year, then it was money well spent. If you don't expect to play for another year, then it won't be worth it. Simple as that, really.

It's funny you should say that... a co-worker left Wow to play Rift cause he was bored with the game... been playing since Beta. He even was going to give me his Wow account to bot on but I turned him down - just in case he decided to come on back.

Last month he was tired of Rift and came back to Wow... even signed up for the Annual Pass before I did. He's actually excited about the Transmorg stuff and thinks the next expansion will be cool as well.

So... it's funny how many ppl 'leave for good' only to return just a few weeks or months later. ;)

I agree totally with Altoids. (I'm botting on my main account and also my second account, my hunter is almost level 85 (secondary) and on my main i'm just mining.. i think in 3 days i have collected 3k elementium ores and around 800 pyrite ores, been kind of unlucky, but hey it's not me that's collecting, i can do other stuff meanwhile! :) - Haven't had even one on the realm that has been suspicious.. the bot works great, (I have also bought Annual pass for my main account, but that won't hold me back for botting!)

Hey guys i just got reported for a couple of hours ago. Thanksfully i was sitting at my comp and i opened up a ticket.. (Due i was added with Annual Pass, nothing will happen, the game master said because the reporter had a video tape of me botting, won't help getting me banned, "The gm's have to see it them selves" So i got saved my ass by making a ticket right away and spoke with the gm. They probably don't wan't to lose subscribers for 12 months. So i'm happy with it. And i'll be updating here if i get any other information.

That's what i wanted to hear when i made this thread. The story like yours really awesome. "They don't want to lose annual pass subscribers". GG

Dont bank on it ! They will Ban and they really don't care about your account!

Free gametime for WoW not for D3. And yes, by getting the Annual Pass and buying the D3 CE you get 4 months gametime for WoW. If it's because of the annual pass or not, I am not sure. But 4 months are given to the Annual Pass subscribers atleast.
do you think it is smart to have your chars names listed in your sig, that is on a forum that blizz can access freely.... look up... see what account and /ban?

Next time just PM him.
I already did it so if he doesn't change it then it's not our problem.

OnTopic: Blizzard wants to keep subscribers until they can come up with something that will 'potentially' keep us subscribing later. It's just a power-play by them to not lose income when all these new MMOs are coming out. I am not doing this as I basically only log onto my accounts to test new bot additions :p

I've already lost a botting account that had the annual pass, so my guess is, if they find you botting, they're still gonna ban you no matter what.

To Blizzard? No.

To someone like Jagex and Runescape? Yes.

Im almost certain that Blizzard gives 2 shits about your 100 dollars. Jagex however will not ban you if you're paying a subscription for members on RS. Etc.

I can add this much to the thread: They will NOT refund any money you sent to them after you get banned. I had my account closed 2 months after I paid for 6 months in advance and they told me I was just shit out of luck when I tried to get the money back for the 4 months I would not get to play.

Where can I get that good weed?
I most certainly was banned on 2 accounts for using bots while having a membership.

My concerns on buying this were, what happens if they ban me when I buy the season pass. Do I still get Diablo? I don't see how they can ban me from WOW and not give me Diablo. Sounds like a big lawsuit waiting to happen. I would buy it, but I don't want to buy it and then have Blizzard ban me.

*EDIT* Talking about my main account (which I bot on obviously)

Hmm, i rly think they will ban your battle.net account so there goes ure Diablo III with it, if u have other accs to bot on why dont u just leave the main account rest from botting?

Gl tho!

Lol lawsuit you would have to walk into their territory to sue then, they would run you broke before you even got a court date.

My brother in law has 2 WOW accounts, SC 1 and 2, Diablo 1 and 2, and WC3 all on one Battle.net. He stopped playing WOW so he canceled his sub. While it was cancelled someone hacked his account, put on a CATA trial, and did something to get the account banned. That was at least 6 months ago. Last week he added a new WOW account(the second one) to the same Battle.net. He RAF'd with his buddy and made it to 80 with 1 day 4 hours played. The banned WOW account is still on there and still says banned. So they don't ban your whole battle.net

As far as the topic I think it's awesome for botters. I signed up on my main acct which I bot way more than I actually play. I bought a year of gametime for 85k gold. My battle.net says my sub runs out Dec 2012. So I got a year of WOW plus DIablo 3 for 85k. That works out to about $2.82 per 1k gold. Not too bad.

I'm trying to sign up for the annual pass but it says I have no eligible accounts. Just trying to figure out why.

Thanks!

Greetings,

Unfortunately, the account was not active on 10/18/11, therefore preventing eligibility for the Annual Pass. I apologize for the inconvenience but thanks for understanding.

so just b/c i came back to the game after not playing for awhile...i'm not eligible? surely you'd have a lot of upset players if this was the case.

Hello ####,

The timing may have been workable, however there is another issue on this account that caused it not to be eligible for the Annual Pass.

After a thorough investigation, we have found the World of Warcraft account ###### to have participated in the fraudulent sale or purchasing of Recruit-A-Friend accounts and/or benefits in April of 2011. With that, I do see that the time was never used and there was no evidence on the account that you were compromised at the time. Although your RAF friend was indeed a hacker, we're going to treat this as an Education since you didn't use the time. This time cannot be reimbursed as the hacker used a fraudulent method of payment to upgrade the account for that free time. If you see anyone in game offer to have you link up with them in RAF for in game gold (to get the free month or the mount), report them immediately by right clicking their name and select "report as spam". Same for if anyone says they can give you game time for gold or anything else that you cannot purchase in game with gold. These are the same people who compromise accounts.

All that being said, I am pleased to let you know that we're changing your eligibility on the account for the Annual Pass. You'll be able to sign up if you wish. If you would rather play the other game instead, that is up to you.

We have compiled a detailed Frequently Asked Questions list that will answer any questions you may have about the promotion at http://www.blizzard.com/support/article/40545/.

As a reminder, if you sign up for the Annual Pass, you will not be able to cancel it and likewise, you will need to keep game time on your WoW Account for a full 12 months from the date of sign up.

If you wish to sign up for the World of Warcraft Annual Pass, a detailed walkthrough is available at http://www.blizzard.com/support/article/40741/.

Have fun!

I appreciate you doing this...however, now I'm concerned about RAF. As far as I can remember, i haven't used RAF for like 2 years...if not longer. I don't even recall if I had my account active in April 2011. How do i make sure my account was/isn't compromised?

This is somewhat alarming to hear given my account was suspended a few weeks back as well, even though you guys did reverse it.

Should I be concerned?

Greetings ####,

Thanks for contacting Blizzard Entertainment.

One of the tell-tale signs of an account being compromised, would be something done on the account that you did not perform, initiate or authorize. If you need any tips on keeping the account secure, you visit our support site, and search the term "security".

It appears that nothing major was done during that time, so there may have been limited access from anyone during that time. With that being said, I do strongly suggest looking at the security information we have available on our support site. Support - Battle.net Support

If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to reply to this ticket. Thanks!

TL;DR
If you want the annual pass, threaten them with playing SWTOR. Profit.

I was recently banned for 'abuse of the economy' both my main and second account were banned. For the appeal on my main i actually used this and basically said why would i sign up for the annual pass if i was knowingly going to violate the TOA.
